Made a small firesteel handle...

Grunt now that is a great idea to glue it to a capsule. What do you keep in there???
I been looking at two sizes one was the 1\2 and the other 3\8. I alway carry one or two on me but want more lol... Yea you can never have enough of firesteal.

Thanks guys!

Somewhere around here I've got a small bar of that mixed magnesium/firesteel, like at the RAT forum (misch?). Gonna slap one of these pieces of wood onto their too.

Mad Dog Destroyer with my home made fire steel. I ordered the fire steel blank 4 inches by 1/2 inch and then dug around for a handle. Ended up taking a warthog tusk from the recent hunt and cutting it to size, drilling a 3/8 inch hole into it and grinding down 1/2 inch of the fire steel to fit in .... tight fit that was secured with 2 pack expoxy. Striker is a hacksaw blade that was ground down and shaped. That warthog will live forever now :D

Here is a picture I`ve shown about about a hundred times. Stag handled steel and striker I made from an old knife handle. One of the things I do if a customer asks for a firesteel loop on their sheath, is ask if they have a firesteel they want to send me to put a handle on it to match their knife handle, they seem to like that, probably because I do it for free.
