I was hoping for some input on possitive experiences others have recieved via buying online or not online. I'd like to get a good deal, but am afraid of getting a second, or knockoff, etc. Anyone heard of knifecenter in Maryland? They sell the Spyd. Manix for 119. I'm almost considering buying from Syperco themselves for full msrp just for peace of mind.

Thanks for your information and time,
Randy Kight

Let me put a pitch in for One Stop Knife Stop. That is the buisness that supports this forum. I think that they may even price match. Not sure on that though.

I've had good luck on EBay and they have the best prices I have found. Make sure you check the seller's customer satisfaction rating and make sure you are buying from a dealer, not just some guy with a knife.

Nothing against the others mentioned, haven't dealt with them.

Will put in another vote foe One Stop Knife Shop though. Great service and I don't recall ever finding someone with a lower price on stuff I was looking for at the time.

newgraham and knifeworks are the two best IMO, i pretty much order everything from them.

knifecenter is good and has a much larger collection, but tends to be slightly more expensive on the degree of a few dollars.

If you use this forum, you shouldn't recommend any other internet firm than 1SKS. This is their house. There would be no forums w/o this company.

The only exception may be to suggest a dealer that supports the forums, check the dealer forum. I believe New Graham may support the forums but I am pretty sure Knifecenter does not support the forums.

If someone wants information on providers that don't support the forums, tell them to go to the Good, Bad and Ugly and use the search feature.

Welcome to Bladeforums! We have a whole forum for discussing where to buy -- I'll move this thread there for you.

brownshoe, please understand that I do not mean to offend you with what I am about to post. You have been a member of this forum longer than I have, and therefore may be aware of some generally accepted and agreed upon "rules" for recommending internet knife dealers on this forum. If there are such "rules" then I will be happy to abide by them. If you are a moderator or represent the moderators, then I will again indicate that I would abide by your recommendation. If, however, you are expressing a personal opinion about what is right or wrong to say on this forum, I need to let you know that I respect your right to express your opinion, but I expect to have the same right. I have tried to inform myself, since joining this forum, on the rules and accepted values of the culture here. So far I have not seen it stipulated in the Bladeforums guidelines that it is wrong to provide public information to someone who is asking for that information when it relates to selecting a retail provider. I have done business with all of the dealers I recommended and will continue to recommend them to whom I please when I please unless I learn that I am violating BFC rules or somehow harming someone. No disrespect intended brownshoe.

Knifecenter is fine- I've ordered from them a few times when they've had all the specific items I was looking for. They do tend to be a little more expensive than other retailers. I only order from them when I can't find everything I want at New Graham or 1 Stop Knife Shop.

I believe we should be sharing our good and bad experiences with any company.I buy from dealers that support this forum, as well as dealers that don't.A free exchange of information is the best policy.

P.S. I have had numerous wonderful experiences with New Graham and Knifeworks.Great people to deal with.
