Made in Idaho:)

I know you might think I'm being a smartass when I say this, but we do appreciate suggestions and I do like your idea on the folder.
The banter between you and I and Mike, I would hope, is not taken offense by anyone, including me. I'm glad ya like the idea!

I look forward to the ESSE 3 folder, even if it is made in Italy :D

Absolutely not taken offensively by Mike and I. I can assure you of that. One thing about both of us is we will argue, poke and prod with anyone over opinions (even between ourselves) but at the end of the day no one walks away mad. We appreciate your input and debate, but most important we appreciate the fact that you're here and interacting.

Idaho made...pride of ownership...utility...
Change the name of the Sebenza to the Potato.
It would get the same idea across.

Mike and Jeff, can you please go piss off some people in the Spyderco forum next? :D

It is kind of funny that people who like Spyderco's aren't all bent out of shape that they have "Golden, Colorado U.S.A. Earth" stamped on them.

It's not what is put on the knife it's how it's done. I don't think the majority of people really care what it says, just the big gawdy lettering. I feel the same way about the ESEE logo. A small stamp near the scale is all that's needed. You can be proud of what you do and who you are but why not do it in a stylish way. Take Fiddleback for instance. Having his full name on the tang of the knife is classy and shows pride of manufacture.

Yes a knife is a tool but why not get something that looks nice while you're working with it? The difference between a Spyderco and a Reeves is nicer fit and finish and a little style. They both are just as reliable and get the job done. People pay extra for things that don't really effect the tools use. Similar to why a person would buy a Mercedes instead of an Accord.

If i cut i dont see the letters, if its inside my pocket i dont see the letters, if its not in use i dont see the knife at all, and everyone who has hold it and took a close look at the knife didnt even notice the lettering let alone whine about.

The thread @CRK sub is getting funnier every day

You're saying you can see the ESEE logo on the Junglas? Dude that can be read from space lol.

Clean, If you had ever seen some of the fights Jeff and I have had, some in very public places, you would wonder how the hell we have survived in our business this long . But 5 minutes later we are laughing about it. We may not agree on some things but I refuse to get mad at folks about their opinion for more than a split second. it is a lot more fun to keep the discussion going and learn something. As Jeff said we like having everyone here and participating. I still think that photo the guy posted over on the CR forum is funniest thing I have seen in a while.:)

Y'all must hit like girls.

The only black eye I have ever had in my life came from being hit by a woman.

Idaho Made should be written on the bottom of the blade, so when its open you cant see it. Not that I really care, I wont be buying a sebbie any time soon.

why is it a surprise that people would care about the aesthetics on a $300+ knife?

I personally would like to see the engraving inside the handles and would never buy a CRK with that ugly engraving on the outside.

I don't like any writing on my knives, either. Or fingerprints.

I also polish all my Snap-on wrenches each night with a buffer and I keep them on velvet pillows in the drawer. They were over $500, after all. Everyone knows tools are supposed to look good first and only in the event of an extreme emergency, actually be used.

Function is only an afterthought; what really matters is form.

If they keep this up Reeve is going to engrave a potato on both sides of the blade.
