"Made in USA"

Taylor does have some knives made in the U.S. Those will be marked U.S.A. Most are made in China and are so marked. I can't imagine a company as well managed as Taylor would mess that up. The ones with flags on the boxes are made in the U.S. There are some Taylor knives made in Germany, Italy, Taiwan and Japan as well.

When Taylor Brands first acquired the Schrade brand they were in a hurry to get product back on the market to the stores that were carrying the Schrade brands. They hired the original artist that Schrade used and the American flag was put on the packaging for several months.

In hindsight Taylor Brands has stated that this was a mistake that should have not happened and after the first deliveries they changed the artwork for the packaging.

Got a link i'd like to read that, doesnt make sense, perhaps they were using packaging that had previously been produced and once that was depleted then the new package would be produced, i've been producing packaging artwork for over 13 years now and that story sounds fishy... Then again production artists get blamed for alot of things that they have no control over, i know firsthand been thrown under the bus a few times:)
Chances are Taylor screwed up (cutting corners to save money) and were doing damage control or blame it on the art department game.:D
thanks

I just purchased a new Victorinox SAK via the internet, the company I purchased it from enclosed a small Maxam key chain knife free of charge. I've never heard of Maxam before but when I saw -Made in China- the knife went out the window of my car and skipped down the interstate at about 70 mph. Thanks, but no thanks.

 I hope that was a poorly delivered joke.

somebody's gonna love you when they are on the side of the road putting their spare tire on their car.

This came up a while back Bernard Levine's forum; somehow the definition for "indelibly marked" has been changed from things like permanent etches to a sticker that can be peeled off.

The new Colonial Boy Scout knives have a tang stamp that says "Colonial U.S.A.", implying that it's a U.S. made product; the packaging says made in China.

thx - cpr

anybody produce a picture it would definitely illustrate the point better:)
