made payment, can't get ahold of maker...

Hey guys, I could use some advice.

I found a kydex sheath maker on this forum, he came with a few recomendations so I contacted him with some questions. He responded right away and was very helpful sending me emails back and forth and answearing my questions....

That is right up untill I made the paypal transaction, now he seems to have simply disappeared!

I made the payment of $120 about a month ago. It was my first time using paypal with an individual so I emailed him right away to maker sure he received the payment and had my order details correct.

...No response.

Thinking he may just be busy, I waited a week and tried again.... No response.

I've tried three or four times now to reach him but to no avail. I can't help but be a little worried since he was so quick to talk to me BEFORE getting my money, and now that he has it he will not even acknowledge me.

Any suggestions on what I should/can do? I don't have his phone #, or address, only his email, and forums name.

Is there a way to cancel a paypal payment???
 
If it has been a month, you might want to post his name. Send him an email with a link to this thread.
If you post the name, friends may also be able to fill in the blanks if there are extraordinary circumstances.
 
Well I didn't mention his name right off, because I didn't know if that was frowned upon as disrespectful, and I do not want to be disrespectful.

However, I do want to know what is going on with my order so,

The makers name is Scott Mitchell, he goes by "steelnut" on this forum.

He seemed very reputable, that's why I'm confused as to why he hasn't contacted me back.

Any info would be great!
 
Scott's good to go. I'm sure it's just a wire getting crossed somewhere so to speak. I sent him a PM, so he'll respond here soon.
 
Looks like it should get resolved pretty quick.
Sometimes communications glitches happen.

I can hear that you are concerned but don't worry. Scott is super reliable and one of the best forumites I have ever dealt with. I know many others would agree.
I am sure he will be along to sort this out asap.....

I can only imagine that with holidays and Xmas he has gotten a little sidetracked.

I have no doubt you will be very impressed with the finished product. Scott's sheaths are awesome...

The baldric set up is a new product and I got backordered for the straps two places.....:thumbdn:

I had computer troubles, but was not aware of missing any emails.
Now on a new laptop and received an email from you this morning.
I will answer after I post this...
