I agree, if it were a 117 id probably have one or two on the way.I'm still waiting on this:
I always sorta regret missing out on the Jan BOTM 119 in 3v.
But I never really use a 119.
A 117 would be great.
It looks like a great knife, and I wish I could justify it.
I'm sure I'll regret it come January, but until then.![]()
You may need two BOTMs.So much for self-control...I have one on the way. Hoping that the, soon, upcoming BOTM is something I can do without. I'm doubting that it will be. Didn'tBuck Knives Inc. say it was going to be new and different? Chances are that I'll be buying that also.

At Christmas even!Down right sneaky of Buck to spring this 119 on us just before a "brand new blade shape and model" BOTM!![]()
Agreed - I saw the comment and then saw the price and thought it was reasonableIn for one. After reading through this first I thought it was gonna be $500. Price wasn’t bad.
I see your pointyoure not wrong, but Buck always was American made quality but more affordable than other American makers.
think that's more the point. for Buck its kinda pricey.......didn't stop me from grabbing one though. did stop me from grabbing 2 of them.
At Christmas even!
And we just purchased furniture for the family room.
But my trucks almost paid off.....![]()
Congrats on your first house. Post pics of the custom made display case when you get it done. Filled with Buck Knives of course.Furniture? We just bought a whole HOUSE (our first ever too!).
I was sitting here and the e-mail popped up and I loudly said "**** YOU BUCK", wife says "don't look, just don't look" because even without seeing what I was looking at, she immediately knew. ~sigh~
On the bright side I now have a shop finally and am in the middle of making the knife display case we've always wanted, great big thing, found an old school hardwood shipping crate in the garage and an old wood-pane window, so i'm doing the whole thing with re-purposed materials with a cool rustic look to it, and that's all free so I figure when finished it saves us at least a couple hundred from having to buy one....soooo...ya know....gonna need to fill it with something and we don't have a knife yet in Magnacut.....![]()

Hilarious. You have a knife just for tacos. Now that is class.
Yep, thanksStealth runs and BOTM are different projects
true there also. although I feel the pro is a bit pricey too compared to the standard. I don't really want to focus on pricing though as we all know everything has gotten much pricier last couple years.......I see your pointjbmonkey . I was coming from more the angle of the 119 pro with micarta and S35VN steel is listed at 209.99 (on sale for 199.99). So an extra $15-25 for an upgraded and easier sharpening steel (with a somewhat unique blade shape) isn't too bad.
I also know that people go back and forth between the quality of the USA sheaths vs the imported, but to me its nice to see the USA made sheath paired with it.
Yeah man it’s a rough life!!!Hilarious. You have a knife just for tacos. Now that is class.![]()
