I'm guessing the freedoms to pick and choose designs and handle configurations, vs picking a stock design and customizing just components. Not 100% on that.

I will say that the more I Handle this knife the more I am willing to part with my other fixed blades. I have L/XL hands and it is just right. Very comfortable.
