wangyimeng, you have to make "real contact" with the actual person selling the knife, posting on a forum "I want it" or "I'll take it" without CONTACTING by direct means, the actual seller, is kind of a leaf in the wind.

Another interested buyer probably did send a direct e-mail (address available by clicking the original poster's name), probably got an actual reply from the seller. That's the way things work, "real actual communication".

I'm not involved in this transaction, but all of that may have happened even before you posted "I'd like it". You need to talk to the seller, not just post notes on a forum, or post your note AND establish direct dialog with the seller. Obviously more than one person wanted it, one made contact and worked out payment terms, it looks like.

You don't just post your address and wait for an answer, while others move forward to purchase, if you really want something. Best,

Frank H.

Frank H. ,

I beg to differ with you on this because not everybody put their email addy in their user profile.

If you post a product to sell so you should follow your own thread.

S/F,
CEYA!

P.S. Outstanding blade !

Well, this seller DID post his e-mail address. I don't think Frank or anyone was suggesting that you shouldn't follow your own for sale thread, but that a direct buyer-to-seller communication by e-mail is the best way to secure a purchase. When I post a knife for sale, I make it clear that it is the first "I'll take it." via e-mail that gets the knife.

Thanks Roger. And ceya, I gotcha on the aspects you expressed, true enough, but the context here is the "actions and proceedures of the one trying to buy the knife", that's what I was addressing, that's the issue re: Weng's travails (and his mystery as to why he "didn't get the knife").

And as Stephen F. expressed, great photos would have moved this knive quicker at a better price more than likely, heck whoever bought it, how about bigger better photos once it's in your hands?! Very nice piece.

That is understandable 110% but I have tried to get in contact with some people to buy and NO email addy to secure it.

You ,Frank or I may have this in mine but not everybody because if we did we wouldn't be here discussing this rather saying how wonderful that blade you got there.
