magnum camp knife, what do you use yours for?

Now thats descriptive of the tweener

If only I had the spare cash to go to Mr. Fisk's page. His knives would put me in a happy place my wallet can't afford right now. His knives are all knife pron. Its like looking at sharp Centerfolds. :)

I want Fisk's Sheffield. Nuff sed. I got to meet Mr. Fisk at Blade, and see some of his knives. Spectacular doesn't even come close.

I may need to ask your help with something, Mr. Fisk. I'll be in contact.

I've been wanting to get a BK5 for some time now. So between this thread and the pass around that will be happening soon I think that I might be getting one soon. :D

I never thought of the old survival knives before being thin, but it's very true. From what I understand most of the hunters and survival types from way back when would grab their butcher kitchen knife and just use that as their primary knife it the woods for doing most everything. With Mr. Fisk saying the same thing, it's really got me thinking about getting one even more now.

Its true on the swords and they used them to defend their lives with. Many of them I have looked at were thinner than 1/8". With thinking about it, if you are going to swing something in battle for several hours possible. when it weights you down to were you cannot swing it well then you die. To me the same applies for usage. Make it light enough that it is always the one that is comfortable but still designed to do the job it was intended to do.
I put a convex grind on my #5. It will honestly shave slivers off of a single hair, course I gotta use a magnaifying lens to see it now adays.
Fire away Moose.

Well, you like BBQ Beef Ribs?

Moose

lol, That too Moose, that too.

I already have a thin, "fine work" camp knife, but I think the BK 5 is going to replace it.
I really like the way it looks as well as how well its been beaten and abused and still come out looking good and well reviewed.
I kept telling myself it is longer than what I need for a camp knife, when I already have a "Chopper" but you guys have won me over.

the 5 is going to be my grill knife. and the mini mags will be my steak knives. beckers have taken over my home. I use the 9 for chopping and holding up the coffee table

Moose, ubet on the ribs.

I better get at least a couple of those ribs. Who's bringing sauce?

I am a little confused but yall go ahead and I will catch up.

I apologize for sounding so cryptic. Its a project I have been working on for a little while now, very similar to what we did with the Dodge Omni, and BK3 TacTool. I'm trying to find a side of beef for a good price, and I'm going to be doing a big BBQ, with the BK5 as the guest of honor, so to speak. You got any plans to come to the East Coast anytime soon, Mr. Fisk?

Moose

I may have to contain myself and hold out for the tweener camp, that thing looks pretty much perfect for what I am needing.
Now to see if I have that much self control..lol
