What combo did you order ?

You may want to ask them, but as far as I know, The Edge Equipment only accepts Master Card and Visa, no Am Ex.

I know, I know. I'm an Am Ex user myself and I get annoyed at places that won't accept it. But, Am Ex does charge the merchants the highest fees in the business and I'm told they really delay payment too.

Today's report is that ten pieces are sold already.

I also want to emphasize that I personally make no money off of this project at all. I'm paying full retail price too. This is not about me making money here. I'm glad to have put some small effort into this because I'm excited to be bringing a great new custom maker to the world of balisongs.

Oh, and Dawkind, congratulations on 007. That's quite a nice collection of folders you have. I recongnize most of 'em. But, you've got to admit that the Apogee stands out even in a fairly distinguished crowds. That's just what Mr. Ralph's work does. That's what I like about his stuff and why I'm so pleased that he's coming over to the balisong side.

Hi guys,

The serial numbers are flying out of here really quick. That is great as it shows Darrel all the support we are giving him and he appreciates it and it validates the project.

The downside is that it is almost impossible to keep the serial number available list totally current although I have been updating it more than daily so far. I am being totally unbiased and assigning serial numbers strictly on a chronological basis as the order confirmations come in. Preferred Serial number is correct - I am however making every possible effort to be totally fair on this and keep the communication lines open when a requested serial number is already taken.

As for payment options - give me an email,

Dudley - I will check on the "007" with Darrel. Have a note on your order packet to attempt to have this done for you now.

Please feel more than free to email anytime a question comes up and thanks for being understanding on the serial numbers - so far everyone is being super on that issue.

This is great news! Only problem is that I'm having some problems deciding what kind of handle inserts I'd like if any at all . . .

>>I would like one... its just that the >>blade type isn't really my favorite.

I think your missing the point, what we are doing, is funding research and development, to improve upon the Balisong Knife and to take it to it's next level. Benchmade did a great job, but now it's time to go on beyond that. As Sal the President of Spyderco can tell you, the Government will not protect the creative work of knife makers. The Government is to stupid to know the difference between a Butterfly Knife and a Switchblade. How would you expect them to be able to tell the difference between a inovative new hinge and the old one? In order to offer any sort of copy protection to it's designer. So, really, it's up to us, who love the Bali, to sponser this project. But it's not JUST the hinge pin, because that will open the way for new and different blades also. But you got to take it one step at a time. Mr Ralph did a great job, to improve upon the singles pin-hinge folding knife. Now he feels he can improve upon the more complicated double hinge Bali. I think we should get behind him 100% on this, and I signed up for #3. The terms are very liberal, to the point where I can afford to do it, and fairly risk free. There is a 95% refund, if we are not happy with the prototype. I for one, have full confidence, that he is going to deliver on what he says he can do. Thanks so very much, JohnR7 (on Ebay) WWW.BalisongKnife.Com

Don't hesitate because you can't decide which options you want. You can change those choices later. Right now, you're really just signing up for one of the 25 pieces available and, if you want to, selecting a serial number. Final decisions about options don't have to be made until the prototype is presented. So, don't hesitate just because you're not sure which insert you want of you really want that Damascus blade, or whatever.

I've already given my options, but I'm not telling. I'm gonna surprise y'all.

That is good advice from Chuck guys - once the prototypes are out and you can get a good look at the cosmetics of the knife in different variations while we are doing function tests then you are free to make changes on option if you wish for 30 days time after the protos are released.

In other words - go ahead and get your spot in the 25 serial number run locked in now even if not sure what type of inlays or blade material you may choose in the end. Plenty of time to finalize that as we go

Right now just for everyone's information we are approaching and may pass today the half reserved mark on this project and it seems to be picking up speed.

Thanks for everyone's support of the Gemini Project

Well, to quote a friend of mine, "you just gotta be quick."

Last I saw, 22 was still available. With the two twos, that would be a cool number too. And, of course, what makes a number perfect for you may be personal too, your birthdate or something.

In a numbered edition, there's often some extra value seen in the lowest numbers and also in the highest numbers (the first and the last). But, this edition is small enough that there's really no bad numbers. I think this edition will become part of this modern history of the balisong. So, any number will be good.

But, remember, I'm number one!

Chuck, though I can't buy one of these, this is tremendously exciting. Mr. Ralph will usher in the next level of Balisongs--he may poke us through into the Rennaissance.

This gives the Balisong world a big name and some big talent. I'm stoked.

Kwaiken56,

You probably got #4. I took it originally, but I screwed up my order, to I switched to #23a and #23b. One is going to be a standard, and the other is going to be Damascus, but I am not really sure of anything else at this point.

Hi guys,

Update here:

As of now we are at 18/25 reserved serial numbers. So there is time for getting in on Project Gemini yet but it is getting close to the end of the reservations due to the great efforts of the Balisong fans here
smile.gif

Currently, we have #15,16,17,19,21,22 & 24 available. As Chuck said, there is no bad serial number in a series of 25!

Quicksilver, #25 was taken early on so the #27/25 idea won't work I guess

To get in on the project please email or visit the secure ordering site

http://theedgeequipment.safeshopper.com

That way we can lock in those serial numbers in the order the requests come in.

Thanks for all the support for Chuck, Darrel, I and your many fellow Balisong fans in making the project a reality for all of us.
