Make yourself some broaches

Anvilring, of course you are right about heat treating tools. I only wanted to show that these out preformed anything else for me, even if less than perfectly done in the hope it would motivate folks to try them. I should have said something about the heat treat. Thanks for correcting me.:thumbup:
 
Good slide show and tool! When I first saw the photo of your broach I thought you drilled a holes and then cut the grooves to them with your small cutoff disks.
 
Great thread !!! These things are addicting. I've made 3 in the last 2 days and they really work. I made 2 out of 154CM and a smaller one out of 440C. Easy to make and it gives me a sense of calm when I handle them. (Don't know what thats about) LOL
