Making a Thick S110V Knife

Nope. I took it into consideration when making the kydex for these two. :)

Thanks guys. I used an angle grinder early on, but was not at all happy with the results.

Why? Did you try 1mm thick cutting disk ? I use them /125mm Dia. on my Makita 11000 RPM and I can cut blank from HSS in minute .And they last very long .

No doubt, I am not as skilled with an angle grinder as I am with a file. I haven't done the angle grinder thing in quite a few years. I do use the small cut off discs in a drill press to cut lock bars in folders.

A very smart and successful knife maker told me that knife making isn't difficult. Take a piece of material and remove everything that isn't a knife. At the end of the day it's not about how the sausage is made, just the end result.

Thanks Kevin! After shaping with files and 120 grit sandpaper, I had sand from 220---400---600---1000 then buff with scotch bright pads. I use windex throughout to help cut down on dust (especially with Carbon fiber). Spray with WD40 and wide clean.
