  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Making the sheat of the ringed damascus fighter

Terry,

At first I use 100 grit, then I switch to 220, and I end with 400.
For the holes I use a 2mm drill bit at 1500 rpm.

Regards,

Ariel

Ariel is on vacations right now, I'm sure he'll be able to elaborate on the subject then :D but in the mean time, here's what the website says:

"I'm an artisan bladesmith, I made my first knife when I was 12 years old in 1977. Since that moment, I alternated knifemaking with other activities, such as electromechanics, music and enameling techniques. I worked as a mechanic in diesel locomotives, electric facilities and artistic bladesmithing shops among other places."

Hope it helps :)

Ariel, not only does this tutorial show me how to make a beautiful sheath, but it also shows me that you have really paid your dues, by the scars and (open) cuts on your hands!
A TRUE craftsman, in every 'sense' of the word!

Thank you!

Very sweet! Bo, you're giving away all your secrets, I could make that sheath now! All I need is some skill, talent and a couple grand for the shop up-grade and the tools!!

Here's the link that got left out from a missing bracket in post #2.
