I hear you about the pads, I had to use black electrical tape to keep mine on. Mine had "The Gold Ranger 440 Stainless" stenciled onto the blade though

When I moved to Colorado from Canada, I couldn't bring it with me so have been scouring for a new one.

Wow, that was one difficult assignment. Not finding an obscure maker, but rather some POS from nowhere
