I own the same knife, picked it up at a roadside odds and ends shop in AZ about 20 years ago (without a box). Interesting because it locks in a "T" shape like a large push dagger. Very slight brassy tint to bolsters and the fourth saw cut is a bit farther out the blade, otherwise looks identical, I can supply you with a close up scan if you need. Real cheap, had to reglue the handle pads. The only thing anywhere on the thing is "440 stainless taiwan".
I hear you about the pads, I had to use black electrical tape to keep mine on. Mine had "The Gold Ranger 440 Stainless" stenciled onto the blade though
When I moved to Colorado from Canada, I couldn't bring it with me so have been scouring for a new one.
