There were no records kept back then, or even now for that matter, on how many of which variation is made. All we can do is give a best guess <......> Thats the frustrating part.
yes "even now"
i had some questions i put to some of the active bcci
members referanceing displays and lableing of "110"...
i have sorced BucK empoyees all over the country...
and have spoke to many current and former buckaroos..
from a current guard in idaho with a jearsy accent
to a former vice presdent....
and they ALL have told me of many knives made at
employees request that were NOT a cataloge item!
i also have bought knives from many of them and
what i found my self reciveing are verations of standard
issue 110's...
Buck has a long and contuening history of allowing
employees to 'order' or trade for what they want
as well as haveing neet combanations made for
give away as in raffles for a church event or
a youth sport event...i have heard of 2 and 3 bladed
110 and 112 knife verations from back in the 70's!!!!!!
also what i am talking of are like a
"PX" balde was sold but
only in a brass and horn configeration...
some one at buck then or now managed to have that blade
"PX" put in a nickel and stag frame...
the parts are standard off the shelf
the configuration is not as it was sold -
it is a "custom assumbility" and not unarutherised
sorta like Petes custom shop put together parts...
and rember i said that nothing gets througn away
if it can be used at BucK! ,,,
so you dont know what you may find in a BucK box!
