Man, Women, Wild any one watch it

i watch it. Any survival type show I will watch. A little cheesy with the wife crying all the time, but its survival stuff and I love survival stuff. Dual survival is nice too.

I like that part. It shows that no matter how soft a person has become in city life or likes to think they're soft, when it comes down to it they'll chop the head off a boa just like she did. Whining all the way.:D

I'd be crapping my pants with all those lions growling through the night. Botswana - no thanks boys. I'd rather be humped by the black bears of Ontario.

Just got done watching the botswana episode. It is teh only survival type show my wife will watch. Anything to get her into survival is good to me. Seriously it is a good show that I think appeals to more people out there(like my wife) than the usual survival shows.

I'm teaching High School Biology this summer :barf: lol (I usually teach and much prefer the physical sciences). We have reached the Ecology unit where we discuss ecosystems, biotic & abiotic factors, etc... I know there are some issues people have with this show but my students (East Los Angeles students) were riveted watching an episode. They loved it. I had them record examples of abiotic and biotic factors during the vid. It was the Amazon one. It's just nice to see kids who have spent little to no time (most of them) enjoying nature show such an interest in this stuff.

"If you can survive the first few days, you've got a lot better chance of rescue." - Myke said in episode 2.

Hmm. I guess that makes sense. If you don't survive the first few days, that means you are dead. Thus reducing your chance of rescue.

They appear to have new knives this episode. Don't know CS knives very well but this (entertaining) show appears to be at least somewhat a CS commercial. Ah well - I'm enjoying it.

As much as I expected to bash this show, I'm actually impressed at how it's going. Myke is a geek, but he's actually doing well and his wife provides a dynamic we don't often consider. I really expected a crappy show, but find myself enjoying it:eek:

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but I don't mind it. I find it pretty good, and I like the aspect of Ruth acting like most women would act. It adds to the situation, that one may not actually know as much as all the so called survival experts.

I was curious as to why they didn't use the battery and bundle of wire to start a fire in the botswana episode... Seems like it would have been much easier and wouldn't be considered cheating since the vehicle was part of the scenario.

Was wondering about that too. RM showed that technique once.

LMOA!!! Well said!

Very nice  ... I'd have no issues being stranded in the middle of no where with her :D

Meh...my first wife was an exotic dancer...having her along on extended camping trips was a nightmare........

Thus, we witness an example of perfect logic: Dead folks don't generally get rescued quickly.

:D

Well, I guess an exotic dancer might be a problem ... how about a true "survivor" type ?

More problems than i want to list here....

Would have been much better I'm sure

Into rain dances was she? Made things muddy?

Well...she did sort of make things muddy when she moved a log and dumped a six quart pot of rabbit soup into the fire.

Mainly her constant complaining was more than I could deal with...

this ground is too hard...
It's hot out here...
can't you do something about these mosquitoes?!...
great, now I'm gonna smell like smoke...
this humidity is messing up my hair...
I have to go to the bathroom where?!...
This food has a little bit of a burned taste...
oh, I broke another nail!!!
what's with the fried bread, can't you just make biscuits like you do at home?..
I hate the sound those owls makes...gives me the creeps...
