A request for a recommendation of where to buy a particular knife tends to give people pause, I think, around here. Some dealers can be mentioned because they have a dealer membership on BF. Others cannot be mentioned/recommended by name. I'll just say that I wouldn't pay any more than $75 for the black lightweight Manix. If you have any bargain shopping skills, you should be able to secure one for under $70, I think. I paid less than $70 for mine from a reputable dealer.

I ask because there are alot of fakes of the PM 2, so i dont want to buy a fake manix 2.

Well, that is fairly easily avoided by purchasing from a reputable dealer who examines returns carefully (or doesn't accept returns).

Not trying to be unhelpful. GPKnives, Knifeworks, and a number of other reputable dealers are dealer members here and would be fantastic places to purchase that knife.

Wow, just wow. I love the manix 2. Great collections and pics guys. I have so say though my favorite is the black blade with orange scales - trick or treat manix.

No doubt. I won't deny that that combination (or black blade with toxic green) is fantastic. I had put all my effort into finding the sprints/exclusives, but I'd like to acquire/create some other creative Manix combinations now that the others have been found.

I don't have both versions of the GITD EDCF Manix 2's, although I'm glad to report that big brother GITD XL is due to be delivered tomorrow! I went a little crazy a few months back outfitting black blade Spydies with Allen Putnam scales. Here's my two Halloween Manixes:

Very nice sir! The GITD Manix XL is due to arrive on my doorstep in the next few days as well! I've got a fever...and the only prescription, is more Manix (especially GITD).

Very cool collection man! The Manix 2 is my favorite Spyderco of all time followed closely by the Military. I only have the original hollow ground 154cm version anf the lightweight s110v version.

This thread makes me wanna go buy a black Manix 2 XL!

Thank you, you have a classic in that hollow ground 154CM! I was giddy to find one of those BNIB on a certain auction site a couple of months ago. I think it was $60!

DNA sure is making those black blades look tempting, all dressed up in that orange Putman!

Where do these collections go to? My bunch of PM2's plumb disappeared, even my three in S90V. Only a couple of cheapies are left. Bummer.

Very nice collection! @ brainsick I purchased a Manix 2 LW from knivesplus. They have both the regular Manix 2 satin blade and black coated. I kind of wish I would have purchased the non LW version, but I would buy from them again. I hope that helped get you an answer.

Fantastic knives. Last year I bought a sprint run Stag Arms Manix 2. My primary attraction to it was that I wanted the black hollow ground blade, but to be honest, having a knife that matched my AR-15 was pretty cool too. I carried it daily and absolutely loved the knife. This winter I finally lost the knife.

I just ordered a regular black hollow ground Manix 2 that's supposed to arrive today. I'm anxious to have a Manix 2 for EDC again, even if it's not my Stag.
