Am i the only one who immediately thought it had a dark knight feel to it in person vs the pictures, i know knifeworks offers engravings but i wonder if they could put the bat symbol on this one, kinda fits but thats just me.

Between this knife and the Millie 52100, I’ve really taken a liking to this steel. It holds a great edge that doesn’t chip (for my use) and is so easy to maintain. I think the PM2 will enter the rotation too.

Same, it holds a good edge for people who don't shred 500 feet of cardboard everyday but just need something to cut with every once in a while, tough enough to not chip, and very easy to sharpen up unlike s30v. Wish spyderco would make this a production steel for that outdoors/simple carry knife.

Wish they would too but “normies” would let it rust and return them right and left. Happy to keep the 52100 to the enthusinats.

I might pick this model up in the future. I just sharpened up a ratmandu and 52100 (sr101) takes a ridiculously scary edge.

Aye, my 52100 millie has been brilliant as a normal EDC blade. I love knowing I can use it until it won't cut paper or cardboard...and it'll only be ~5 minutes of work with a stone to get it back to where it was. I've heard Spyderco apparently runs it quite hard - yet it's still comically easy to sharpen up. I have other knives in other steels that outperform it in every category, but for far more money in a similar size/quality of manufacturing. It's got personality, takes a beating without fuss and made me fall in love with the millie.

As another poster alluded to, 52100 wouldn't last long in a majority of knife users' hands. Fastest rust spot forming/patina-ing steel I've seen out of quite a few steels.

Though it sounds like this DLC is going to eliminate most corrosion problems 52100 can run into?
