Great! I think you will end up using the Delica more than the Manix for actual EDC knife chores. Both are great. I had a Manix XL and sold it. I carry a Delica everyday. (I still may get a Maxamet Manix or the carbon fiber Manix, though)

I think the Delica 4 is a very much better knife than the Manix 2 LW, in fact I actually dislike the LW version of the Manix. For such a large blade the handles of the LW are too flexible giving it a very unsteady feeling during hard use. The Lightweight has a pinned construction making routine maintenance almost impossible barring an extreme handle modification and the Ball Bearing lock is not nearly as friendly and fun as an Axis lock. I think the Ball Bearing lock functions better in the steel liners of the regular Manix 2. If you definitely prefer the Manix 2 over the Delica, I'd spend a few more dollars and get the much better executed G10 version.

Either way, the Delica is more pocket friendly, more capable in fine EDC tasks (if that were your primary purpose) and is one of the iconic production knives in the industry. The Manix 2 is not. The Delica can do anything the LW can do, but better. The Manix LW gives all the impressions of a rugged, hard duty knife where in practice it's probably more "delicate" than the Delica :p. YMMV.

Manix 2 LW < Delica 4 < Manix 2 G10 < PM2.........See where I'm going with this?

I guess you'll get a chance to sound off with your own impressions once you get both knives in hand! Enjoy!

I am biased and would advocate the manix 2 (you're getting both so that's boss). I've heard it's not great for then all bearing lock but it's kind and I use it. So I like to flick open and close the manix 2 using just the bolt lock. It makes me feel cool. No. It makes me cool.
