I thought I would try my hand at a little knife modification. This is my first MOD JOB.

What a waste of a good knife. :thumbdn: You should be kept away from power equipment.

Hey now, I'm sure he put in a lot of effort into this. It's kind of hard to see from the pictures, but it appears that everything that he has done is evenly spaced and uniform.

Aesthetics aside (I do, at least, agree with you that it doesn't appear pleasing to my eye) if he enjoys it, then no harm done.

After all, it's not your knife, now is it? :)

And I don't intend any hard feelings.

It's evenly spaced because he followed the jimping pattern with a cutoff wheel on a dremel.
 
Holy crap guys, it's his darn knife, and I bet it still cuts the same. If he thinks it's cool then it it to him. There is no need to throw punches about his ability with power tools and other insults.

Really, this is a community, he didn't tell you to like it and you all blow up like he snapped your knife in two f**king pieces. Not many things make me angry, but sometimes the way people act on this site piss me right off.

No offense is meant in this, I'm just trying to defend poor OP.

"Poor OP?" If I took a BMW and started putting cuts and slits in the body with a dremel what do you think the reaction from the fan base would be? "Oh great job, you made it yours!" would not be on the list of answers.
 
Leave the modifications to those with experience.

Most if not all of the time, people screw things up for making them "unique" and "special"

Dont be foolish look at what the young kids do to there BMW's spoilers, rims, and fake air vents on the sides. its the same they think it looks good. me and you dont, me and the op think the knife looks good you dont, dont berate him and others cause you dont like it this isn't that type of community.

besides its an 80$ knife and a wonderful platform for mods look at what trix2004 has done for me and others.
its not a 35,000 dollar car nor is it the knife equivalent.

One more thing To bigshowrenfro if these guys keep it up im gonna buy another manix and send it to you so you can do the same so they have to look at it twice! :p

You're missing the point. This is not adding rims and fake air vents. This is slicing up a knife with permanent modifications. Spoilers and rims would be polishing the blade and maybe sanding the scales. This is absurd.
 
Can't see it close up. How clean does it look up close? Stock looking? Next send it to Tom Krein to have it FFG'd.
 
OP! im gonna go find a plain edge black dodo and send it to you to be modded
then if it looks as good in person as it does in pics ill send my m4/ti millitary!

Some of ya'll's comments might have chased him away forever. I hope not for his sake. He only has 27 posts to his name, a newbie so to speak. There's a lot of knowledge to be gained from this site, I hope his feelings aren't hurt and that he comes back to absorb some info. on knives etc.
 
Josh you really need to chill man !!! From busting this poor guys balls to saying Scott cooks knives aren't customs !!! Just relax man , and save the arguing for the political forum :D !!! This is here to be fun and friendly !!
