manix 2 s110v

I did mean carving.
auto correct and a new phone got the best of me this morning.
My point though was that under normal use you should not have a problem.
I do consider prying and wedging not the best use for a lightweight knife.

My Manix 2 lightweight in S110v has completely taken over my fishing carry.

Blade stays sharp no matter how many fish it cuts up,It's stainless and the FRN provides excellent traction no matter how slick things get and doesn't hold fishy smells

My new 110V came in at 12:01 today as the post office was closing.
I forgot how much I love the steel and blade grind. What a beauty.
Matt

My S110V Manix has thoroughly disassembled a number of cardboard boxes. I find the S110V relatively easy to sharpen and it holds a nice edge, even through cardboard.

Great knife! Got one for my brother and its his favorite knife.

Everyone is in bed waiting for Santa. I am up putting a final touch on the S110V for present time in the morning. Toys for little girls. That is alot of zip ties, plastic and cardboard.

This sweet puppy came with a dead nuts 15 per side. Not a smidgen off. Here we go, bring it on Santa. I am ready to slay thoust packaging.

Speaking of Santa's packaging, it took about half an hour to cut up all the cardboard boxes that were left over. I was using a Cruwear Military and she an S30V Native.

I had one sharpened to 15deg per side. I tried to cut some thin wire (not sure what the core was) and it chipped/rolled (couldn't see clearly). I don't have pics though because I lost the knife during a hike :(

I've pondered this knife for a while. I love my Manix 2 sprint in CTS-XHP. The Manix 2 is my favorite Spyderco design.

so i have to admit, i have never owned a spyderco. never even held one or seen one in person. im looking to upgrade my price range of knives to around $100 and am eyeballin a Manix 2 in s110v. i understand i dont need that steel but its a splurge present for myself so why not. i will be using it for general box and tape cutting along with wittling and making chips. possible kitchen use also. anyone have any recommendations or advice? feel free to guide me wherever as im keeping my mind open to suggestions.
You, my friend, need no advice. You got one of the best knives you can find in ur new price range.

I had one and sold it.
Now I have another new one arriving in the morning.
The steel is amazing and it is a great size and very light. My wife has the BD1 version and it has been well used even done chopping and garden work, but mostly kitchen use.
I am very excited to get one back. It is a superb EDC.
Let me see if my review is around. Be rite back.
My girl basically bogarted my bd1 manix, giving me the excuse to get the s110v! Got her a rainbow leeks but she won't carry it over the manix! Lol

And as far as handle material,I think both are FRCP. Maybe the catalog had a typo cuz both feel the same and are more rigid and feel different than spydercos frn...

I own both the CTS BD1 and CPM S110V versions of the Manix 2 Lightweight. The translucent blue one (CTS BD1) is FRCP and the dark blue one (CPM S110V) is FRN - according to Spyderco.
