Mantracker

Too bad you werent shooting 762 or 556 instead of film, They wouldnt be throwin rocks at you after ! BTW, Mantracker

I did see the one with the two black guys. I think maybe that was their first time in the woods. It was pretty funny. Those booties look pretty nice might have to get a pair for the house. :-)

Not my style, brother...not my style. The largest caliber I ever shoot at folks is a 400mm Canon Lens ;)

Remember the two border patrol agents who got in some serious poo for shooting the illegals , I think they are still in prison, tell me that aint messed up ...WTF ?

I have no problem with anyone comming into the US, hell my grandparents and my dad came into this country from Portugal. But the way they do it, there is a waterfall of bullshit that happens as a result.

Bush commuted their sentences on his last full day in office, January 19, 2009.

Ramos and Compean didn't get put in prison for shooting the illegal drug runner, they got nailed for covering it up.

I just recorded the first episode I've seen the other night. It was the one with the two girls in Canada, somewhere like Alberta maybe? I thought it was pretty good.

I'd like to see the one with the SWAT guys, maybe it's on On Demand...

Ahh, the Canon 10D, that camera did so much for me! That and the 20D were my introduction to digital from film... It was so strange how everything was affected with that smaller sensor. It was so nice to go to Full Frame Sensors.

Switch to the Nikon D3's last year, but had been a Canon shooter since my first 620 when I was 10 years old... Love the image, by the way!

Mantracker is a great show. I dont know the Mantrackers guy name, but he is really good. Every episode he has a local guide helping him and some of those guys really know their stuff also.

If you havent seen the show, it is definately worth watching!!:thumbup:

The thing I forgot to mention about the show is that he does often introduce aspects of tracking during the show. Last week's episode had him talking about the age of tracks and how a fresh, new track differs from one that's a few hours to a few days old.

Just like any of the outdoor-themed shows, you have to be looking for the educational aspects sometimes but they are there...

The way things are going it wont be long before were trying to jump the border to Mexico and they will be taking pictures of us with plaid sockies on.

And a Canadian tracker on horseback on our tails...

Okay. Watched the "Nate and Vlad" episode where the Mantracker and his local took on a former Royal Marine and a Czech Paratrooper in Central Alberta.

That was the way it's supposed to be done. Make the pursuers work like dogs and the horses even harder. Doubling back. Using every obstacle at their disposal. Doing the unexpected. Never settling for the path of least resistance because the trackers were watching for it, and they were incredulous that these guys took the hard way out every time they were confronted.

It was enjoyable watching the game being played by prey who weren't overconfident grab assers.

Good counter-tracking stuff. As we teach, when trying to defeat tracking dogs, try to defeat the dog handler, not the dog.

I'm always surprised by what I might find on this subforum. Was surprised by this statement, but it also etched you fellows up another notch in my books:thumbup:

Just watched the Vlad and Nate episode. Good stuff! I doubt I would have thought to use the terrain as much as them! I probably wouldn't last long a all! :(

Don't get me wrong, I am believer in self-defense, concealed carry, firearms ownership, etc. and think the folks that are having all the problems with the illegals vandalizing their farms, stealing from them and creating other havoc on their private property, should be armed with a lot more than a camera. I know if my farm had this problem I would be doing more than taking pics! With that said, my style of working areas such as this, outside my own property, is to simply document what's taking place. In other words, just write the story and not be the story. I am, however, a firm supporter of the BP and private groups who are working to keep the vandals, drug smugglers and other criminals off of private property.

Mantracker tonight....on science channel if you have Dish... I like the overall standpoint of the show, you get people from all walks of life and they try hear say methods, which is pretty funny....
