i am happy now!
I watched the video and then in maybe 10 minutes i cleaned up the edge and now my arm is going bald from me shaving so much hair from it, i just used the 40 degree set up, if i did another series of strokes on the 30 degree set up i guess it will even get "scary" sharp... this is fun!

glad you were able to fix it.


but using the 30 degree setting wouldn't really affect the edge. it will, however, knock the "shoulder" down on the primary bevel. the result should be a better overall slicer.

Like about everyone is saying just sharpen it out and move on with life bud.
