Marble Safety Axe Co. , the premier U.S. knife maker from1900-1950’s located in Gladstone Michigan in the U P. Marbles created the Safety Hunter folding knife in 1902 and received a patent in 1903. See pictures of PAT ALLOWED. Designed to give sportsmen a long blade in a short handle without an exposed tip. Highest quality construction featuring:
A “First Model” made between 1903-1910
5” Ideal pattern standard weight blade.
Ball tipped full hilt
U Bolster with Butt bolster.
Gutta Percha handle with famous cougar & caribou game scene.
Original Sheath (extremely rare)
Nothing loose, fit and finish perfect.
