Coating process, thumb stud, pocket clip and carbon fiber inlay if I had to guess. The 111 I saw is standard inlay material and bolster material in a different shape?

I just had this image of you screeching to a halt at the drop-off terminal of the nearest bus station. Guy's walking up and you call out the window: "AY!!! WHERE YA HEADED!"
Random traveler: "Uhhhh....headed to Arkansas to visit my folks, uuhhhh who are you and why are you asking?"
Les (a total stranger, tosses him a black box that says Buck on it): "Take this! It's dangerous to go alone!!!!"

Then you peel outta there Starsky & Hutch style with no further explanation!

Ha ha ! I can actually visualize that scenario!

I need to apologize to everyone for mouthing off. I didn’t mean to offend anyone who likes this knife and bought one. It’s my opinion and bias and preferences not a factual statement. I am sure it’s a great knife and many others will enjoy and appreciate it as they should. Like I said in the other post I like the build and materials just not the color and i just don’t get it why they cerecote the stainless blade except for stealth looks.

I like grass, trees, money 😆 and other natural things green. But I think it all started back in first grade on st patties day when I didn’t know about wearing green and almost every kid was pinching me. I had not heard of such a thing before. I didn’t mind wearing green but I had very few clothes with green. I was more into blue, red, orange, brown and anything western. Lol. Leprechauns were only in lucky charms cereal commercials so I didn’t have a care about them. Lol

The red and black was last years May BOTM. I was thinking something similar with maybe some leprechauns etched into the green cerakoted blade finish but the black blade with green thumbstuds is growing on me.

it's funny..
no one loved the red coated 104 compadre.......new model looks better and is available and yet those ugly red blade 104s now are super valuable. point being sometimes colors brings the big bucks....

And I've beat my ugly red 104 so it's not worth anything either.
