March 8th Gathering At The JK Shop?

Unfortunately I have to bow out, I'm behind on our attic remodel, and the 8th Was the only day I could get my electrician buddy to help out.

Sorry to hear that, but we may have one in the woods early next Fall.

Im coming! as long as there is no catastrophy between now and then lol. I still need directions and time. I know ya said after 9am but what time is everyone planning on?? Ok Evan Has a basketball game on sat at 11 am till noon. So its gonna be 12:45-1:00 before I get over there. Small town stuff, game was sched. for 9 am and it got moved an hour ago to 11 blaaaa. Is that still gonna be ok or do I need to skip the game???

You can still come. Take I-55 north to I-80 east, get off at Rte 30 exit in New Lenox. Turn right (east) go all the way to Wolf Road. Turn left (north) on Wolf, go to Denny Ave, turn right (only way it goes, there is a tiny cemetery on the corner.) If you get to the RR tracks, you went too far!

Lawyers Guns and Money! (my favorite Warren Zevon song!)

I'm bringing a bag of knives for trading and maybe a firearm or two, also for trading.(Is that OK John?) I have A few tastes of Bourbon left to bring. What else? Have a lot of catfish fillets in freezer? Can't drink much, gotta drive home!

I am thinking about trying it as it is only about 538 Miles or so and about an 8 hr. drive.** I know my Dr's would say no but they know I never listen to them anyway.!! Far as the trip I could break it up into 2 days and take my time and hope for the best.^ lol
I will let you know John after I check and see about a few things. { I don't ""can't drink"" and quit smoking about 5 years a go ~~ but I still have a good taste for food and the Catfish sound good B J --- been wanting to go somewhere and North sounds good.**}..!! Have to check the carry laws also as I don't go no-where with-out my Kimber or something besides my finger to point.!
Later.

You can transport firearms in your trunk, but I don`t think you can carry it.

Non residents who are legal to carry in their own state can legally carry a handgun on or about their person while inside their car anywhere in the state.

They have to store the firearm before exiting the vehicle. They may transport the firearm in any place firearms are otherwise legal as long as the firearm is :

broken down in a non-functioning state OR

locked in a locked container OR

unloaded with no cartridges in the chamber and the magazine not in the well (magazine may be loaded) and stored in a firearm case or other container (box, bag, briefcase, backpack, fannypack etc) -

I don't have a small grill at all - just a big honkin deal like you have John -

What's wrong with the one you have? Maybe we can fix it?

Hope you make it up WOLFMAN-12! You can crash at my place Saturday night before your ride home if you like, (air mattress on floor or sofa, breakfast included). I'm closer to I-65 if that's the way you go home. Lansing,IL
I think my propane grill will fit in my Cherokee, if I can find it under the snow drifts!
Same invite for overnight to all, by the way. (Maybe I should tell my wife?)

Fire went out:)

No clue, it quit late last year. I tried the neighbors tank on it, still would not work. Did`nt Bill have a small camping grill?

I have a small propane grill. I will bring that along.

I also have a camp stove but I don't think we need that, right?

First one to arrive gets to baton Brad`s modified Improved Bowie though a cinder block! (or in Sean`s case, a steel pipe)

I have a great Grill with enough room for Hot Dogs or Hamburgers or whatever ( think it is a Mecca Grill ) it is a great Grill & I can tie it down in the back of the Truck as I have a half shell Camper Top { that is my Tent when I go Camping } you know **** like really roughing it in the Great Outdoors == hey I stay dry and fairly Safe plus one of my Kimbers is always with me under the Pillow usually or close by.!! Better than my Car and I have more room to put stuff.+
B J -- as long as you have Catfish I am game as I eat Catfish at Cahouns BBQ at least once a week or more and it is great
and a dozen half shell Oysters to start the meal.!! You know where I am going today.** Yummmmmmmm
Thinking maybe my Charter 44 Spl. or my S&W Model 60 would be a better choice as I don't like trouble but I like to be safe.** Ya know what I mean.?? Is there anything else you can think of that I could bring John besides the Grill.?
Course I am going to bring some "cheap" Knives to show & tell.!** LOL
Let me know if you can think of anything else John ~~ please.*
