Marifone Knives?

That looks exactly like my Blackwood credit card. Maybe that's why it is not listed.

Yes indeed

Just for the record, I am in no way, shape or form involved with Microtech, Marfione, Tony Marfione or whatever else they go by.

It is a very functional "gimmick" that continues to be a good seller for me despite the "Morphione" version :D Add my name to the long list of Tony "fans" out there :jerkit:

Neil, long time no see. You have had some problems over the years with people copying the design of your credit card knife, haven't you?

Hi Keith! Ya............ I could have saved them the trouble and sent them my disk with the CNC program on it :p I've had quite a few people contact me this year asking if it was a collaboration, that's my only concern  He's the last person in the world I'd want to be involved with

Dr. Lathe, how much are you selling your credit card blades for? Do you use the same stuff as Microtech does in them?

Real sorry to hear that Neil....My personal experiences with Tony going back for over 10 years have been that he is honorable, driven to pursuit of perfection, and has an excellent sense of humor as well. He is a friend.

How does your card differ from the Nemesis product, and which came first?

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

My experience is the exact opposite.
He is classless and will do whatever he wants to to make a buck.
He has screwed Greg Lightfoot and Walter Brend.

Benny...I don't know you.

I have been around for a long, long time, over 25 years in this business. Reputations are earned, 1 person at a time.

I have known a lot of people to share anti-Microtech/Tony Marfione experiences. They can't all be wrong, but I can only go by my numerous personal dealings with the man, and they have ALWAYS been honorable.

Best Regards,

Totally understand.
I know many people who have had great experiences w/ MT and Tony.

Not me.
And not Walter, and not Greg.
And not Neil Blackwood if you look at the Ti cards:D

I own 5 Microtechs and all of them are above par. Tony is a businessman and he does what every other businessman does, attempts that which is bound to bring he and his company that HE built from the ground, more profit. But I love his idea of the Assailant Credit Card knife. I will have my other one in the morning!!! I cant wait for UPS! :)

Nor Tom Kyle, nor Robert Terzuola, nor most MT distributors, nor ex-MT dealers like me. Can't name a single custom maker that Tony has had a collaboration with that didn't turn sour. Tony bad mouthed his biggest fan club on their own web site, Microholics. MT has a reputation for the worst QC / customer service in the industry. Bad grinds, re-releases of collector knives, anodizing that looks painted on by a kindergarten artist and hustling cash to make payroll. Need a screw that fell out of your knife because it didn't get locktited in place? Try calling and see what kind of screw you get ...

chief speaks the truth and trust me he knows !! but make no mistake the old skool microtech knives are some of the very best auto's on the planet IMO.

Right on target ... at one time MT made the best production knives but those days are long past. Too bad. Wonder how the ATF is going to look upon MTs foray into the gun world if MT is as sloppy with their gun serial numbers as they are with their knife serial numbers. Read the first batch of MSARs (MT's clone gun :barf: ) were recalled immediately after shipping due to a defective part. Tony will be glad to take your money tho ... :jerkit:

Mafione, as in Anthony Mafione, is microtech and founded the whole company. Anything listed as a mafione custom means a standard microtech production model has been customised by Mafione himself.

Here is the website

And here is some mafione goodness...

Nice use of Bob Bartoli's pic! R.I.P. Bob!!! About the only thing that kept Tony straight

wow, Microtech is not very welcomed on this board. haha. I just like the Assailant and the manual folders he has. I havent owned and wont own an auto bc they are illegal for me to carry here in Tennessee. As far as the assailant and the amphibian go, I cant find a single thing to not like about them. What is Tony's problem since so many people dont like him? His product is good. Is he just a rear-end to people???

i remember when MT was considered top line stuff, certainly a step above BM and spydie.

i also have dealt with MT CS and that wasnt a experience i want to repeat any time soon lol.

imho MT OTF autos are still the best production ones around........

but, overall, there QC, F&F & CS have taken a nosedive in recent yrs, too bad,

I bought a bunch of the limited addition damascus stuff he brought out at a premium price. He then kept bringing out the same models, and the same damascusect, ect.Sold most of his knives and just bought on the aftermarket ever since.no more for me.Thanks
