Marksman 830

Mine just arrived today, all I can say is WOW!!! What a fantastic knife! It is everything I had hoped it would be and then some. Lightning fast action, solid feel, and more comfortable in hand than I had anticipated. I have been searching for a long time for a knife that ticks as many plusses as this one does out of the gate.

I finally got to fondle one in a big knife shop in TN, while on vacation. I was surprised at how light it felt and the action sure was smooth. I did have a small problem with the flipping, but I have to say I don't have much experience with flippers. If I held the knife with the blade facing down , it would rocket out, but bounce back. If I held the knife with the blade facing up, it would still fly out, but it would catch. I only tried it a few times, as it wasn't my knife.

No worries, man. As with any flipper, you've just got to commit to the motion.

It's all technique. The Marksman is one of the smoothest flippers I've ever tried.

It might have needed a drop of oil in the bearing.
I have noticed that happening with mine a couple times, and gave her a drop of oil.
That fixed it perfectly....
