Maroon Linen Micarata Bullnose+ others

I agree that Snakewood would make an interesting cover as would any other wood or stag but it's awfully hard to improve on the Delrin versions.

Just sayin:) But, if ya get one with Snakewood covers, I'd sure like to see it.

I bought the maroon linen micarta bullnose about a year ago. After opening and closing it for a few weeks the pin in the center of the handle rotated about 10 degrees. Of course since the top of it is curved to fit the curved edge of the handle it now has a sharp edge sticking up. I sent it back for repair and they didn't really smooth it down completely and it has rotated a bit more. No longer smooth in the hand. Very disappointing.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'd peen the pin a little and take some sandpaper to it and smooth it out. Hopefully you'd be able to tighten it up enough that it won't move any more. GEC should have taken care of this for you, and I'm not trying to dismiss that this should never have happened in the first place. I'm just trying to offer a solution so that you can get back to enjoying your knife. Good luck, and post some pictures if you are able.

Good advice Cory. Sometimes ya just gotta take things into your own hands.
