MartINFI. . . . ?????. . . Oh yeah!!!!

money isn't the way to a womans heart....

cheesecake is...

yuppers, a man who can make and eat cheesecake

remember this... you can always measure a womans sexual prowness by the size of her cheesecake.

I like a "Gin Salad" martini.

Bombay Gin, a little vermouth, a shake of orange bitters, 3 olives and 2 cocktail onions. :)
It easily tides you over if you miss dinner.

Anyone seen or heard about a new gin coming out called "New Amsterdam Straight Gin"? I haven't had a chance to try it, but I hear it's really smooth. No after burn at all...

I am quite fond of Roland foods anchovie stuffed olives, they make a freaking martini man!

Think about martinis in the morning. Never mind -- makes you think about xtravaganza in the ev--never mind, I need to go to bed--haha

I dig the anchovie stuffed olives. You just have to be ready. I reallly should go to bed.

Me bad, baba chum.

The olive juice is used if making a "dirty" martini, like Frank Sinatra used to drink....

And the pouring in and dumping out of the Vermouth is called a in and out martini.

A in and out, dirty martini will knock something in the dirt. LOL

So all this Martini talk KILLED me last night.

I had two before dinner lat night and then ordered a bottle of wine. My date drank about one and one half glasses of wine and I finished it off.

I woke up at 3:30 a.m. with a heinous hangover, so I got up and took three aspirin and drank a ton of water, finally got out of bed at about 11:00. A good hard hour bike ride would clear me up, but I’m not sure I want to hurt that much.

LIGHTWEIGHT !!! LOL

Rob

OK try this HEAVYWEIGHT:

A friend and I use to mourn the end of daylight savings time and the end of riding bikes after work by meeting and drinking Bombay Safire Martinis. So one day after a few we stumbled into the back of my house (where we are going to meet his wife) and he saw a set of rollers on the floor and asked “What are those?”. (Rollers look like three rolling pins that are lined up in a frame and you ride a bike on them as they spin.) So I told him I ride a bike on them in the winter. He replies “No f-ing way.” So with a suit and dress shoes on I go get a bike, jump on the bike start to ride. I fall and get back on, fall again, get back on and finally ride them for a few minutes. We have dinner his wife takes him home and I wake up the next day and eventually find out that I have three broken ribs.

Did not mean to seem high maintenance on all of the martini stuff. But I generally drink good tequila, straight in a double glass about 4 fingers high. Pretty simple no matter where you are, But it does get a bit pricey at times. My old fave was Porfidio Cactus or Anejo, they are gone now so the next best thing (in my opinion) is Corralejo Anejo. I have now been drinking the silver, it is cheaper and actually the way tequila is supposed to be consumed. In the old days tequila was consumed straight from the distillery and not aged at all. American thinking led to the ageing in barrell thing like bourbon. Regardless, It does make for a very cool Texas style martini. Booze kept in freezer along with the glasses, garnish at will, maybe a lime peel, absolutely not necessary, shaken not stirred. Enjoy

I still love the vodka martinis though.

I had a Wild Turkey 101 Rye with Vya Vermouth Manhatten before a good steak dinner.

Is rye close enough to bourbon? :)
