I like the "England" tang stamp on the pile side, don't know that I've noticed that before.

What particularly impresses me on this knife is the excellent proportions of blade/handle. The Wharncliffe is a long svelte example that really fills up the handle. You can see the same approach on Ken Erickson's knives: no short inappropriate main blades lost in space of a lengthy handle!

I also like that Gimp?? style of shield, absolutely right for the pattern. Shields should be an embellishment, not a distraction. Fine work this.

Great looking knife Paul! Outstanding fit and finish and the scales are gorgeous.
When I read in your description 2 1/2" Hollow Ground, I immediately thought 1 1/4" grind radius :eek: Then I realized you meant blade length. :D
