Hi,
This knife is for a BIG hand.
The wood was brought over from Africa many years ago and stored at my friends house.
He does not know what kind it is but it has a Lot of silica in it when I cut into it.
I made this knife before passing my JS.
I want to point out that if I were to make it again I would have a higher hardening line at the heel of the knife.

1095 Forged to shape blade.
Blade Length to the Guard 8.5".
Overall length 14.25"
Blade thickness .2"
Blade height 2.187"
Nickel silver guard, soldered on.
Stabilized buckeye burl spacer.
African Wood, that shimmers.
