Masters of defense

that's the easy part...not getting stabbed is the hard one.

Of course, most traditional knife training is obsolete. It anticipates not only that your opponent will have a melee weapon, but that they will also be trained in basic knife techniques have a concept of self preservation. That hasn't been my experience in real life.

The hard part is empty handed versus knife, and that's where the training that might give you a fighting chance begins.

Generally, of course, if the fight is between you with a knife and your opponent with no weapon, it can hardly be called self defense...

Are you merely adept at self-defense, or are you a Master?

MOD knives are for Masters of Defense only. Any one else shouldn't even touch them. They are that tacti-awesome.

They seem to have forgotten that the best form of defense is ATTACK!!

That's why you need this:

You know it's made for warfare because it says so right there on the blade edge. ON THE EDGE!!

Damn, is that what I think it is?

It is a knockoff of a Darkops knife model that hasn't even come out yet. That just a whole new level of plagiarism.

The green smoke is what seeks out and devours weakness....

oh dear lord.

it looks like something designed by a mall ninja after a twelve month meth bender.

i think i'll have to get one of those. just to show the sheeple who get scared by my fallkniven WM1....

WTF IS that?! Or, should I say WTF is THAT?! Is that a blade catcher or a bottle opener at the base? Why is it serrated in so many places? This knife is a stroke of genius, the mere pictures have caused fear and confusion.

I own this knife. I love it. I had the same initial impression..wtf is this thing? Actually the highest quality and most useful knife I have ever used. Didn't mean to hijack or interrupt, just thought I'd throw in some input from a user of the blade. I do think however, that the knife is over kill, and would like a Black Raven, for a much simpler design, and still the quality.

The original MOD knifes are amazing. However..since Blackhawk took over, not all that impressive. Still decent knives, but it doesn't compare to my old MOD by any means.

It is a fixed blade with a wave hook :p

not sure if serious...

I have a Blackhawk Mark I. It's a good knife but not as good as the original. I real would like better steel, A US8 is not bad for a folder but 154 CM or S30V would be better for me. I like the style and the lock, but it's a BIG knife in your pocket. Good thing I'm a big man.

I have an older MOD Keating Hornet, that was made in 98.The 154CM in that takes and holds a real good edge.I carried that knife daily for several years.Don't think I'd buy one of the new ones though.
