Hi Matt,

Thank you for the clarification, and explanation. I want to say my intentions were not to belittle your work and yet this would appear it was. To anyione who thinks I went out of my way to imply this, then I apologize and I simply wanted to learn more. Words get in the way of facts.

I asked Matt to give me his phone number so we could talk in person. I love knowing more, but never at the expense of a good maker's reputation.

I apologize here for my miscommunication.

Matt's a good egg and makes a kickass knife. :thumbup: I called, we talked, and I am even more convinced about the quality of his work and build.

super clean and has been a stickler for detail since his first piece

I don't think there was anything wrong with the question Coop - it is one I have asked in the past. I could have offered an answer, but as I did not know how this particualr handle was attached it would have been speculative.

I heard from Matt recently that my order is on deck and I'm pretty tickled. He does fine work indeed.

I think you asked a legitimate question in an appropriate way.
Questions and learning is much what forums are about whether you are a
collector or a maker.
 
I've wanted a Matt Roberts Bowie since joining the forums so it didn't take much thought on my part to snag this one,almost pulled the trigger on Matt's sheephorn hunter a while back but I have enough hunters and am concentrating on Bowies lately.
I am well pleased with this one,the walnut is striking. :thumbup:
Matt is an outstanding maker,IMO,it was mentioned before but if ya' wanna' see super clean work,get one of Matt's.
