First time contributing pics to the forum (Well, technically my second after my successful "test"). Anyway, I thought I would add to the Maxped Bottle holder threads of late. Mine is not nearly as comprehensive as J Williams but i also wasn't fond of any type of pouch connected to it. I like it streamlined which cuts down on the amount of "stuff" I'm able to carry.

The Kit - Bottle Holder, SRKW HRLM, Nitecore D10 + Vic Farmer

As I mentioned in J Williams thread, I like my bottle to sit elevated so all I have to do is unzip and drink

I accomplished the "elevation" by placing a adventure medical kits emergency bivy in the bottom

For those that were having troubles with their nesting cup staying in the kit,
this is how I solved that problem

Kit - Emergency Bivy, Matchcase holding medications, Suunto M-2, Swiss Champ, Swedish Firesteel modified with button compass, Fox micro whistle, cut down hacksaw blade, CMG infinity...

And the tin - micropur tabs, 3 in 1 ointment, bandaids, fishing kit, fishing line, duct tape, wet fire tinder, full size Bic

It will be modified numerous times until I perfect it. I will definitely be adding a razor blade to the tin as well as a suture kit. I will still have some room in the front pouch for later add on's.

All in all it is perfect for what I'm using it for - a high speed, low drag kit when I'm not far from shelter.

ETA - sorry for the crappy pics - a photographer I am not!

great review and great pics! i have GOT to get me one of these.

I really liek that kydex sheath witht he flashlight and SAK - nicely done.

Thanks. The bottle holder is exactly what I was looking for. I spend a tremendous amount of time in the woods in the fall and winter (hunting / ice fishing). Some of it is in small 60-100 acre woodlots where I'm close to the car - I was sick of carrying my pack with me and the bottle holder provided what I was looking for.

Great pics, and very nice gear.
I like your idea with the elevation - I'll keep that in mind.

Yes, it is a farmer and a D10. I don't wear it, I carry it in my pocket. I was sick of them rattling off each other and falling "sideways" so I made the rig about hands width, which fits in the pocket and keeps them upright.

That is a cool idea!!
It looks like it fits in a back pocket nicely.......which pocket does it usually go in?

Thanks - I carry it in my front left pocket. It fits perfectly and stays upright and flat - you don't even notice it's there. It has become my edc. I spaced the kydex rivets so that I can also install a clip to carry it on a belt or pack strap but I've never used it that way. It carries so nice in my pocket that I forget its there until needed.

Awesome. I might just have to stash my bivy in there like yours. Good post bro!!

Thanks Jake.

For those that haven't played with kydex - I highly recommend it. Its not hard to get something acceptable (although it won't turn out like the pros). I took someones advice on here about a year ago and sent an email to kleerdex requesting a sample piece. They sent a box of 4 12x12 sheets that I played with. I wasn't about to spend any money on a "kydex press" so my hillbilly engineering came up with this

Jack stand and trailer hitch on truck. Gives me more than enough weight and pressure to form the kydex. I "cook" my kydex in a toaster oven. The best thing about it - if you don't like the way it turns out, you can start over.

Ok bro. How the heck did you get that bivy in there and the bottle. Mine takes up the whole dang thing almost....

I moved my heatsheet innto the bottom. It rose the bottle up, and freed up some space in the front pocket. Sweeeeet.
