Maxpedition Falcon from Botach Tactical!

First of all, forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place, and if I did shove it where it needs to be.

Second of all, if you read the title you know what this is about. Well, I was looking into buying a new Maxpedition Falcon in black. I ordered one from Tadgear first and they let me know within a day that they were out of stock so I told them to go ahead and fill the rest of my order. No problem.

Well, being that the black Falcon was the main item I was needing, I started searching for elsewhere to purchase this pack. I emailed about 10 different online merchants, Botach Tactical being one of them and there were I believe 3 that emailed back and said that they had the Falcon in black in stock. So I checked prices and Botach was the cheapest after shipping.

Let me just pause here and say that I have heard of Botach's service but since I received the email saying that the pack was in stock and I have ordered successfully from them before, I decided what the heck and to give 'em a chance.

Well, I place my order with Botach and wait 2 days. No word. So, I send an email. A while later I get an email back. I was feeling pretty good that they had answered it. Well, in the email they said that they already sent me another email that explained to me that the black Falcon was out of stock, an email I never received. So, I replied to them that they cancel my order. A while later I get a reply back saying that they thank me for my time and are sorry for the inconvenience.

What the heck? I guess I should just go ahead and say that I should've known better. I mean I did email and check if the Falcon was in stock. I ordered the Falcon. I emailed the individual that said that the Falcon was in stock to say that I had ordered the Falcon. I waited. I sent email to find out when the Falcon would ship. I received an email that said that the Falcon was not in stock! :grumpy: Is it just me or is something seriously wrong here?

So, now I just ordered the black Falcon from Tactical Rescue Outfitters and so far everything looks good. You can't pay enough for good service!

If anyone else has any Botach stories to tell I'd appreciate it. It might make me feel a little better to hear of other's suffering. You can all go ahead and make fun of me now...I deserve it.

Botach has long been a thorn in the side of alot of customers. My only order with them was incomplete. I ordered a Surefire G2 and PhotonII with the Spyderco attached. The G2 finally arrived, but nothing else ever showed. No expklanation, no communication. BTW, I was only billed for the G2 after it was shipped.
At Glocktalk, their reputation is really bad.

I had been spinning the wheel of fortune with Botach off and on for several years without a hitch. Then on 2/28/05 I placed an order for 4 items at $78.00.After a few weeks I emailed them to find out when I would receive my order. No response. A few weeks after that I emailed again but again no response. Assuming some or maybe one of the items maight have been on backorder I waited another month. Finally I tried calling them several times only to get a recorded message. I left messages asking what happened to my order.

At the end of May I looked up my order status on their website and it had been inexplicably been cancelled! I don't know what happened, why, or who decided to cancel the order.

Sure they have great prices but what good are their prices if they can't deliver?

Yo, oder directly from maxpedition or from MD Tactical - bag anywhere else. Tim Tang of Maxpedition goes out of his way to make sure the product is top of the heap, and MD Tactical is the finest Maxpedition dealer around.

That said, County Comm is a really good outfit for Maxpeditin gear and they have Max gear exclusives.

I've ordered several times from Botach without a problem. They have a toll free number, why not call in the order? Why not call to check on the order? Waiting for e-mails is nothing but a PITA, I have no patience for it.
