Maxpedition nalgene carrier

Stingray,

...Plus, if we knifeknuts are willing to spend hundreds on blades and other gear, the $5 difference in a used water bottle versus new is negligible. :)

Point taken. But, I'm not one of those guys so the $5 makes a difference to me, hopefully I can be one of those guys when I get a job lol. But for now, my wife makes the money, so my wife dictates how I spend the money.:grumpy:

Heh. I know where you are coming from. I have to skip a few lunches each week to fund my gadgetary needs. That way the family budget is minimally impacted. ;)

I sent an email to Maxpedition sometime mid-07 asking to them to make this product as the similiar product I have from New Sun was getting old and I couldn't find a replacement. Plus Maxpedition makes a very durable product. I didn't suggest the price and they never replied to me. Will be curious to see if it is a little larger than the roly poly as it is too tight for a SS cup and I suggested they make a product like this so it will fit.

I am going to give it a try as fanny packs don't work for me and I rather carry something with a small strap than a back pack. On my New Sun, I carry a small bivy, emergency poncho, small first aid kid, SAK, micro pur tabs, fire starters and my wallet (which is small). This product should work for me.

Leave it to Maxpedition to come up with a $37 water bottle carrier- and make me want it!

I have the small roly poly and was hoping to find something that would hold the cup. Don't think I can talk myself into that price though!

MVF,

Yep, I said it already, I'm buying one. I have a Jumbo, a Remora, and a Devil Dog and use at least one of them every day. They made be pricey, but they are good...

Please let us know if it easily fits the cup.?.? I like Maxpedition stuff as well, and if it fits the cup, this would be perfect.

I like to think Maxpedition is my namesake:D

Maxkimber,

Will do. I can tell you that the nagalene pocket on the Versipack does hold the the cup. I can't imagine that they would make one that wouldn't fit the cup... I will post pics once I have tried it out.

Quiet Bear,

Can you post pics of your current set-up?
