Maxpedition??

Those Dadecapods offer extreme protection for your folders and the material is so stiff and the hook and loop grips so tightly that it almost takes a vise and a winch to open them when they're new. Good stuff.

With the exception of some Elberstock and Kifaru packs, Maxpedition gear is hard to beat. I've got several maxped products and like someone else said they wear like iron. Good stuff, good stuff.

Why would you post a Maxpedition thread in the General KNIFE Discussion?
Please place your threads more carefully.

As for the negative press, there was an issue with intellectual property and whether a design was copied from some other manufacturer. I don't remember it being a knife maker, Maxpud doesn't make knives.

"Stealing somebody else's design" seems to be an emotionally charged issue with very little legal knowledge involved. It's usually not worth the drama as even the kitchen sink is thrown in.

I'll stop there as it's already wasting server drive space.

I own a maxpedition pygmy falcon 2 for my birthday last year. Though I don't use as hard as some people I can tell from the feel that it's bombproof. There is double or trible stiching every where. I carry sharp cornered opjects in there without worry. I owned it for 8 months now and its looks like it came right out of the box. You won't be disapointed with maxpedition stuff.

I own 4 maxped bags and various other pouches and they are all top notch gear. I like the Jumbo's for DSLR bags, and my Typhoon makes a great diaper bag. Add and Monkey Admin Pouch and Me and my boy are set for a day or two.

I have a Luna Gearslinger that has held up very well. I don't recall anyone blasting them for poor quality.

For a small, sling style daypack....I don't think you can beat the Sitka Gearslinger. I would never give it up.

Ive got the Jumbo Versipak and it is possible to load it too heavy to carry all day on one shoulder. So you end up swapping shoulders back and forth all day which is a PIA. I use it for an EDC+CCW bag. If you're looking for a all day carry/hiking bag I would go with two straps. Just mu $.02 worth.--KV

I've been using Maxped for a several years with great results.

My son is in Middle School and has been using a Condor 2 every day for 2 years as a book and everything else bag. No wear from book corners and the material is just beginning to lose that legendary stiffness folks talk about. Much better feel now. I think it's from all the tossing about.

It also looks almost as clean as the day I got it for him.

I like the option of double straps. I rotate a Pygmy Falcon 2 with a TAD Fastpack and Kifaru E&E after finding the Fatboy not to my liking.

If you plan on dayhiking, I think you'll like securing your load with a strenum strap. Plus the PF2 has 2 water bottle carriers.

My M1 waist pack sees use about 5 days a week. It's my Urban PSK, rides with me to work or if I'm heading into town. Going out of town to drop a friend off at her parents then heading to the country to do some shooting and my M1 will be on my belt! Good stuff.

I have an Octa I use almost everyday and a few pouches including the monkey combat admin pouch and agree that all of them are extremely heavy duty, well made and just overbuilt in a positive way.

Which model or product line was suspected as being copied?

Fanboy here,I think they have an alternative trading name.It might be Magforce or something similar that is more common in the far East.

My 3rd and 7th graders each carry a Condor 2 as well. A school kid will probably give a Maxpedition product more abuse than most of us would, as theirs are dragged around 5 days a week.

Well, my boys attend 4 days a week, but thats beside the point.

I prefer the pygmy falcon II when it comes to a light backpack, as it has the dual nalgene holders.

I have a Falcon II for my BOB/survival kit. I take it with me every day to Atlanta where I work or in the field hiking, fishing and hunting. I have my Glock 36 and extra ammo in the bag. I love the hard use bags that Maxpedition makes

My teenager blew up his pack every 6mo until we met the Vulture II - Been working for over 2 years and is the best pack I have seen for the money.

I was just thinking......I love and appreciate really good stuff; well made; the best it can be....without regard to price. THANKS....MAXPEDITION !
