May 2023 BOTM: 110 Slim Pro TRX: 3V steel, Brass Scales

Didn’t realize the BOTM dropped so earl in the month. Opened buck site and “gone”.I usually check in the morning but had to work all day yesterday. I’m against buying from flippers, but I really like that knife. Already on E-bay for @ $250. Going to think about this one. Newer Buck knives enthusiast but definitely hooked, with some help from BF. I grew up with a 110 and 119. Never knew there were so many variations and new knives until I was looking to have my 110 get a new blade and opened Buck Knives website. Can’t complain though because I happened to get a few of the BOTMs that sold out quickly in the past. Just sucks that the first time I don’t check a very nice knife shows up. Can’t win them all.

One other question: what determines whether or not there is a purchase limit? Apparently, I could buy all 255 of the April 2023 BOTM if I wanted, but only 10 of the 124 remaining March 2023 BOTM.

Also surprised that when there IS a limit, it's a limit of 10... does that sound really high to anyone else?

And just to be clear, I'm not sour about not buying any of these that were sold out, and I wouldn't have bought the May knife anyway (the 110 isn't my jam). I'm just confused and interested trying to understand the (seemingly) haphazard logic.

as collectors and knife fans we see things one way. Buck on the other hand is a business with bills to pay and wages to pay etc. they are interested in moving inventory and selling products fast. the limits are to try to restrict flippers and make it fair. fine line though. they also want to move product. I appreciate that they try to balance it out for us.

on the april 2023 botm, I'd imagine a not great seller they would make a decision to remove limits as helping to be fair doesn't apply anymore. they are back to moving inventory and bringing in revenue.

For what it's worth, I got my email at the same time you did...May 5 at 8:45 am Central, also Gmail via Comcast (Xfinity). Not sure where the issue lies, but interesting that our circumstances matched exactly.

I received my at 1108 hours Pacific yesterday. Think they were sold out by then.

Usually a botm drops 5/4... most others are somewhere in the middle of the m9nth.

I think there's something up with gmail.

I got my confirmation email just about an hour ago.
I never had this problem before I switched to gmail a few months ago.

Switching email accounts is a major hassle.

May 4th is a star wars thing. Hence the c3po looking knife. Last year's was r2d2 and I think a boba fett or another r2d2 the year before I think.

I got the email at 11:11 Pacific, text msg a few minutes earlier. When I placed my order at 11:30 Pacific, there were 516 left. They didn't sell out until 3:18 Pacific (Post #54).

Just signed up for he text messages. Unfortunately I didn’t even look at my emails until this morning. Oh well. Win some lose some. I’ll just try to convince myself that I have too many knives already.
 
Remember we have Stealth Run #3 lurking. Someone predicted it was going to be in May, I think.

I just check here often for knife sign. It starts with a buzz of predictions and grows. Then it goes silent. Then it drops and there is a flurry of posts.
 
In hand. FAST shipping to PA.

Heavy. Love the feel. Brass is less finished than the copper 112, leaving a bit of texture which is nice.

I need more pockets.
