May 2023 BOTM: 110 Slim Pro TRX: 3V steel, Brass Scales

As I have said before I don't care for Cerakote. This one was just to unique and a good price to pass on. I was going to order another so I could switch blades but they sold out to fast and/or I was to slow.
I don't care for Cerakote either, but given that it's 3V steel maybe it is more appropriate.

I picked up 3 with the intention of holding 2 back for old pals who may miss out on it. I'm not a flipper but will pick these up occasionally for barter fodder and those who may miss out. I'm down to 2 since an old timer here had an extra Magnacut for trade. I may or may not keep one for myself as I'm not a 110 collector. I'm going to put the Magnacut in a Crystal Ti 560 that's begging for a new blade. Win-win!

I just now got the May Buck of the Month email that these were available. First Buck of the Month email I have received in a long time. I wasn't going to buy one anyway, but sheesh, they need to send these sooner. ;)

I got my email from Buck at the time of the drop, so I am not sure it was Buck's fault - perhaps your email server was having problems.

Edit: I also got the SMS text message at 2:10 PM. I think the email was at 2:06 PM (EDT). I ordered 2 at about 2:20 PM (EDT). I should have ordered a few more to offer to people who missed out.

Received email... Clicked it a few minutes later... Already sold out.

Kinda zaps the fun from the whole BOTM thing

I really wish Buck would join the 21st century and show your purchase history when you logged into your account!!!!

This is the 2nd time I have purchased something and didn't get a confirmation email of the purchase.
Hence no shipping or tracking info either.

Last time I got the knife.

My credit card confirmed the purchase of this.......
We are working on updated our website to show purchase history but you should receive a confirmation email on every order and tracking once it ships.

Who's buying 10 of these who isn't reselling? 10 seems ripe for scalpers.
Totally scalpers BUT...they cause the production run to sell out / sell out faster and help create the aftermarket "value". I only buy two...last BOTM I bought two and I sold one for what I had in it...purchase price and CA sales tax PLUS shipping.

Only 1 person bought 10

The others bought 9? I'm actually kind of shocked you'd provide that information at all.

How long did it take for these to sell out? I'm just really confused why the email came out and they were already gone. Did they seriously sell out within minutes?

It took about 5 hours to sell out. The emails went out at 11:00PST and the text a couple of minutes later.

Not a complaint, but for what it's worth, mine to Gmail didn't come til 6:46am PST today

Thanks... I got my email (gmail via Comcast internet) at 8:45am Central on Friday 5/5. Guess I should sign up for the texts! Womp womp.

Thought it was funny to see the email show up a day after reading here the discussion on it being sold out.

B bort2.0 and kreole kreole I have a gmail account and an msn one. Buck has my msn, both text and email, I get them in a timely fashion. Sorry about yours being so late...be interesting to hear about other gmail accounts.

One other question: what determines whether or not there is a purchase limit? Apparently, I could buy all 255 of the April 2023 BOTM if I wanted, but only 10 of the 124 remaining March 2023 BOTM.

Also surprised that when there IS a limit, it's a limit of 10... does that sound really high to anyone else?

And just to be clear, I'm not sour about not buying any of these that were sold out, and I wouldn't have bought the May knife anyway (the 110 isn't my jam). I'm just confused and interested trying to understand the (seemingly) haphazard logic.
