Maybe it's time to move on from ZT

I'm not trying to imply that, I was just curious as to where you got such a negative opinion of ZTs.

Maybe my opinion came off as more negative than I intended. I don't think they make bad knives, just a variety of factors have turned me off of them, including a number of reports of QC issues that I've run across. Basically they've become a brand that I don't necessarily recommend, but I certainly wouldn't warn someone off from buying one. I, however, don't see myself buying one unless there are some pretty major changes.

Gotcha. That's fine, we can't all like the same things.

But have you owned any yet?

Yup. I've owned an 0200 and an 0700. The 0200 was a solid knife, but neither enticed me to keep it.

Fair enough. I Don't mean to be insulting, I just felt compelled to ask. There's too many people who judge without having first hand experience.

ZTs seem to be dividing among the knife community. You either love them or hate them. But now I think they're becoming irrelevant to me since I just got my Grail small sebenza:)
Makes my ZTs look like trash:eek::p

So the knife and I have reached some kind of understanding. I can actually close it one handed reliably now. All I've been doing while I was gone from this thread was flipping it and closing it. When I woke up, when I was going to bed, when I was watching tv, when I was on the computer, when I was eating, when I was on a hike...Have a little white callous on my thumb now :lol.

Though I was really frustrated . Decided to try and break it in after I started to search for what I was going to buy next. Lots of good choices but none of them got me excited. Not entirely rational. But in case you haven't heard the Redford-Bloomberg Act was repealed, among other things knife purchases no longer have to be entirely rational.

Latest update. Pretty smooth now. but it took a lot of work and dealing with frustration. Wish I took a video of it when it first came. I really don't think my thumb's that wimpy :p. Almost decided to sell it off a few times. Not sure why I kept it, guess besides this issue the design just appeals to me a lot...
