Maybe My Best Work So Far!

Excellent work Ray, I am always impressed with your clean execution of various designs, and this one is no exception. Well done, you should be proud of it.

I'm not a big fan of Bowie knives, but this one looks very well done. The best description I can come up with is clean in all respects - lines, details, grind, fit and finish.

Don, your brother got to handle the last bowie I made and he liked it. I think this one is a lot better.. I'm going to have to try and keep it for myself:)

Not quite my style but I always like to see your work. The detailing is artistic as I would expect. My only issue would be the slanted plunge line with all the adjacent perpendicular details and guard.

Ray-I have a bunch of your blades and always look forward to seeing new work by you. Unfortunately, they always sell too quick!! I do think that this by far is your best work to date. I have always appreciated your simple lines and beautiful grinds, but this really takes the cake.

looks really nice but i have to say your last few blades with the worn finnish are still my favorite

I am a huge Bowie fan and that is a beauty!

On the next one, maybe move the small pins in a little further from the handle edge.
;)
:D

That looks like a knife I dropped a couple of days ago. Thanks for finding it. Please send it to me asap, post paid of course!

Seriously though, that is what my dream blade looks like.

That's a knife that won't ask for permission or forgiveness. Nice work. Mac

That is stunning and beautiful!

The workmanship, detail, fit and finish are outstanding, I love it!

The fit and finish on that blade are awesome:thumbup: Looks like some time on that piece....

Thanks again guys for all the nice comments. I didn't think it would get such a great response here being that it isn't a wilderness and survival type knife.

I haven't had a chance to make the sheath yet. I haven't decided on the style and I want to make it as nice as I can. This one is going to be a keeper for me (at least for now). I need something to show people when they ask to see my work.

beauty!

Looks like it has a little Natchez in its design!:D

The pins and rounded guard are tops!

It's not a bushcrafter or machete, but that's not all you find in the WSS quiver....

Take a look at some of the recent posts in the 'let's see some pure fighters" thread- previous to mine- there's a couple sheath designs in there that I think would look tops in a plain black on that.
