Nice nails :D

I know from previous posts you are fond of the P-7m8 HK. I'm in that camp as well, having owned three of them over the years and having been to several HK LE training weeks in the early to mid 90's. Hell of a gun, one of the most accurate I have ever owned [ all three were spot on for accuracy with the fixed barrel ].

I had the opportunity to train with Mickey Y and see his innovative products on his table over that weekend. Man knows his business and has a real grasp on reality when it comes to effective improvised accoutraments for self defense and the tactics used with them.

You did good, better than many men here would have done, as some have mentioned and others would like to forget.

I know what you mean about the "frozen popsicles."

I once broke up a street fight that involved 2 men fighting over their girlfriend / ex-girlfriend. Nothing nearly as messy as what you described, just punching, kicking, smashing heads into vehicles, etc. I have no fighting skills. I used psychological tactics and a minimum of physical intervention. (Both of these men were much larger than me.)

This happened at night and I had no idea anybody was watching. After the fight was over and the parties involved had left, about 20 people who had been watching from their windows came pouring out into the street to congratulate me. They kept asking me why I "wasn't afraid" to intervene. Actually, it's not true that I wasn't afraid. I just wasn't focusing on the fear - I was focused on how to defuse the conflict before someone gets seriously hurt or does something he will regret for the rest of his life. (At one point one of them started going after the other with a broken glass bottle).

It seems that most people are not psychologically or physically prepared to put themselves into the middle of a violent physical conflict. I don't blame them. (Then again, if a friend of mine was getting hurt or if I was getting hurt maybe I would have blamed them...)
