Medford knife and tool?

Someone here should start a list of all the makers we should not buy knives from because they did something that offended someone. Let's start with Strider, Hinderer, Emerson, RYP, Medford. We can then make safe knife purchases from guys not on this list. That will be super useful to make sure I do not have any of my hard earned money going to racists, haters, liars, thieves, adulterers, chauvinists, druggies, drunkards, leftists, rightwingers, communists, facists, conspirators, radicals, ... etc.

My knife collection will get smaller and smaller, but it will be a morally superior collection. I guess my daggers will also have to go as they were designed to kill ...
 
This is not a knife discussion, and belongs in FEEDBACK, being overwhelmingly opinions about the maker.

IN MY OPINION Which it is..
Mr Medford= Is a ""WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET GUY""
He does a great deal for our Military folks and Charities
Everyone is human and has a right to how things where are where not handled to par..
I agree ""BOTH SIDES"" stories should be revealed before a judgement is made..
I am a big advocate in LETTING THE masses who have owned MEDFORD knives be the BEST critics..
 
I'm coming here not to throw more wood to the fire and create more drama but I want to really help the OP. I have been in the horses mouth and see both sides of the fence and spent a lot of my hard earned money on Medford's knives. Everyone knows my opinion of him and you will soon find out that Greg Medford is a truly polirizing maker in the knife industry. Some people love him some people hate him. I felt with things are good there are flowers and rainbows but when things are bad it goes south really fast. Trust me I know ;)

The Best advice I can give the OP...man go and buy the knife and try it. You are the ONLY and BEST advice you can find. I hope you get a good experience out of it I truly do. It sucks when you spend a lot of cash in a knife and things dont go well. Just make sure you buy one from the secondary market. When I sold all of mine I wasn't even close to break even in any of them. Viper bought it for $1100 sold it for $700, Praetorian bought it for $700 sold it for $500 the swanto bought it for $800 sold it for $450. That pattern tells you something ;)

I hope this helps you a bit and I wish all the best and hopefully you have a positive story out of this! No sense in beating a dead horse.
 
I don't understand the people that are like 'I've had a horrible experience but I'm not going to talk about it but it was awful trust me'. What's awful to you could be nothing to someone else. I work in construction, there's no Human Resources department. If you don't have thick skin and can't take what the boss or owner say, especially when YOU mess up (ie take the knife apart) then you get a new job.

Greg seems to be exceedingly polarizing. That being said, I'd like to try out one of his Micro Praetorians some day. They seem a little pricey but if it's well-made I'm sure you can get your money's worth out of it by using it for years to come

To me, you come off as the kind of person that supports bombing innocent people in the Middle East because, "'Murica, and them damn Muslims is bad, they bombed us at 9/11 and they fuck goats. The government says we need to bomb them for freedom, so let's do it!!!"

But please, continue to generalize all Muslims because that is what your tiny mind hears on the news. And remember, all Muslims are bad, and all Christians are good! LOL

i have a viper and just recently sold my praetorian. I love both will probably get a praetorian again in the future. i have called greg a few times and every time i have talked to him he has been great and really helpful. i have talked to his wife also and she is great also. if you ever have a problem they will fix it. just dont take it apart and youll be fine.

But here you are, beating a dead horse again...all because you got your feelings hurt. Look in the mirror- it was you, that wrote that vulgar, disparaging comment on Medford's YouTube channel (instead of contacting Medford & talking man to man), & then starting a thread in the GBU bad mouthing him & trying your best to damage his reputation. Your rude comment precipitated everything! After they told you to "MAN UP" you resorted to trying your best to start a BF band wagon against this reputable talented, knife maker. And then you act like an even bigger baby (if that's possible) & sell your self professed "best knives you have ever used", just to prove a point. Have you stopped the think: WHY, did I have to sell these knives at such a big loss? Maybe, it's because of the way you act here on the forums? I for one, will never deal with you! Being an engineer does not make you an expert knife maker!

I for one, respect, Mr. Medford, & the sacrifices that he has made (& continues to ) for this Country. Nobody is perfect, & it's unfair in the techno World that we live in, for trolls to come on here & twist word's or meanings out of context. More importantly, I think that Greg Medford is a very talented knife maker, & he has created a line of very awesome knives. I for one, really love the Viper!
