I suppose if you send it back they're going to replace or fix it then.Jimislash stated under his vid that he received word from CS yesterday that they are fixing the issue.![]()
I guess there's no warranty for bad designs as wellWe warrant that this product is free of defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, lack of normal maintenance, or disassembly. ... Please use caution when handling Cold Steel® products. Knives are extremely sharp.

That s a deal breaker for me.A closed folder shouldn't be a hazard. As it is I easily could have ripped my finger open if I hadn't noticed the proud tip.
I canceled my pre-order when I realized it was the first batch. I figured there might some bugs.Dammit...Looks like I'll have to wait and hope for a version 2.0.![]()
Do these Luzon's have a bias towards closure?
Yes. If you lift the blade about an inch from the closed position and it snaps shut after you let go of the blade it is biased towards closure. Some knives will just stay in the partially opened position and neither close or open any further when released.I didn't know a knife could be biased. I always thought of being biased as a human trait.![]()
Cold Steel lock springs are usually almost too strong and hard to open until broken-in .
Which is why I asked. I have had Ti Lites that snap shut and others that just stay froze in place when partially opened from a closed position. This is a liner lock. My newer CS lock backs are a lot easier to unlock than the older models.
Yeah, my bad . All my CS folders are Tri-ad locks .This is a liner lock. My newer CS lock backs are a lot easier to unlock than the older models.
