Meet the MEGA Swamp Warden.... Going Live Wednesday March 18th 2020 @9:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

Wow I like these !!! I hope they go up on website :-)

Dang, I was planning on buying 1 or 2 of these beauties, but things just got real today. Corona work shut downs are no joke. :(

Now that I’ve seen the colors, Muddy Brown is calling my name. Very nice!

The green is pretty dope too...

I do not usually go for the coated blades but these look so good it is going to be hard decision not to get one of each. Maybe just get one Swomp comp and call it a day?
No that is crazy talk I have a couple days to think about this ,

Oh man those colors sure look nice! So tough to decide. The bronze looks good. I had a wtf in bronze and a Trough Raider in bronze from a grab bag. I ended up stripping them both. I think it was just too much surface area for the bronze. They looked too gold. But this little warden looks good in bronze. Then there is that desert sage! The midnight blue is cool too! I bet these will wear nicely in the handle area, giving some contrast between blade and handle. I have to buy the swamp comp! I shouldn’t buy 2. But if I do.... green????

I don’t know what it is, but I’m just not feeling these. I think it’s the thickness. Just too dang thick.

They look nice, and I’m sure would feel better in hand than thinner stock. But DANG! 0.35?

I've been walking around with something much less impressive in my pants the last few days thinking about how aweso.e these will be...

The MEGA series is designed to be the best of both worlds, with the cutting ability of a thin blade, and the strength of the .350" thickness.

So many choices to choose from! :) Curious if the Swamp could do half Comp Finish for the blade part and half color choice on just the handles?!! :)

I’ve had a similar though. Basically, coat everything except for the bevels. Would be the best of both worlds, as they say in the swamp.

Is the tip of this convexed then going flat and then concave? The tip has a ton of metal in it. The thickness of this steel, handle shape, and unique grind going on in this sub 3" blade adds up to an... intensely practical knife... The blade is basically a multi tool in itself. I really wanted to buy a Mega Ratweiler but have too many damn choppers.

I'm not too into uber thick knives either...3/16" is plenty tough imo...but always have been curious about the Strider DB as a tool. After watching the video on this it reminded me of the Strider. I may go for it...

Ok, now that was a sneaky good marketing move.

I was on the fence at best (thickness), and yet this pic found its way to being my current screensaver. How could that be? And the more I stare at it . . .

Watching the vid, I am now thinking it would make a good secondary breaching bar

And about the right size to fit into my regular burrito pack survival kit . . . .

That would be too cool ironwagon!

BUT, maybe just get the coated one of your choice, and then strip only the blade??? Let's see what lies underneath these.

How can I possibly be considering a blade under 3" that is thicker than my Fat ASH-1?1?!?!

Ok, obviously this one has gotten me thinking this morning - sorry, guys!

So, this is my thinking (for what that might possibly be worth).

I have always hated skeleton-handled, scale-less knives. Reason being that they are too thin in the handle, no matter how well rounded the edges are, for extended or otherwise really intense work. Yes, some cordage wrap 'em to help, but I just hate that feel and still they feel too thin, or better yet, awkward for my taste and hand.

So as crazy as .35" seems on something like this, it just might be the answer. Thick enough in the handle to feel right and do real work, while ground down enough in the primary bevel to lighten it enough and allow some slicing or other delicate work as needed.

Really pretty ingenious if it works. And the vid makes it look like the real deal.
