Meet The Real BB13. . . . Here's A Special Offer And Some Cool Pics!!!

And i thought i was safe this week....than The Real B13 came out
1 Muddy INFI for me
It is a great deal, if im not mistaken little TGm with G10 was $410, this is $411
I keep fondling BGASH, trying to imagine the blade twice as long lol same thickness, She will Chopppp

Cool blade but at 0.25" thickness I wish it was a full flat grind... really want to buy the CG but the shallow saber grind is a deal breaker for me.

I don't want to sound complaining but since INFI has superior toughness/strength to SR101 I don't get why it always need to be offer in thicker geometry...? Thin knife or at least thin grind like FFG are more usefull 90% of the time IMO.

I would better to stick with BG version.

Muddy Infi and tanker SR-101. I need to clean out the garage anyway and sell some things I don't use anymore. That way I can keep both my kidneys.

Okay now this is ONLY my opinion...
If it were me, I would cancel the 2GBM-e for the BB-13, because its about the size of an NMFSH.
If the Mistress was an FBM or FFBM I'd keep the Mistress, 'cause EVERYONE needs at least one Mistress!!

Good luck making your decision Armithius!

Thanks for your input! I'm definitely gonna have to mull it over. I've always wanted a mistress in one form or another, but the BB 13 looks like so much fun! Might end up coming down to which one I'd use more, but I have no idea because I've never owned a blade in either of those two sizes lol

Well said but i still bought 5 of them cause its a sweet deal and wicked blade worth trying. 13" of beautiful Basic INFI for $400.....seriously!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Picked up one myself. Haven't bought new INFI in a while and missed out on several offerings I really, really wanted. (State of my economy, you know!).

Was not going to miss out on this!

WOW!!!!! That thing is amazing!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! MY HEART...... ugh.....

Hey, I've got a couple like that. Mischievous, scheming, little.... The Doberman especially, I think is maybe, probably.... Alright he's smarter than I am[emoji6]

My Doberman is too smart for his own good. Probably smarter than me too lol

I don't like that we get no choice of handle color. I've switched them before but it's a pain..... I already own a full flat Moabolo so I'm good.

+1
I went with the sr101 bg for this very reason

There needs to be a chop off between the two when released... 😃

.25 isn't too bad is it? I mean its not like a MOAB @over .400? Or a FFBM @over.300?
Of course, I defer to y'all Hogs judgement.

It is thick for most makers... Thicker than I hoped. But I am giving it a shot and I am excited for it. I am confident it will outchop my 1311 but time will tell whether or not I can live with carrying the extra weight all day in the woods.

I dont know if the BG will be enough of an improvement over my 1311 to replace it so I am sticking with the INFI.

It will be easier to chop with the B13 than MOAB or MOABOLO. With the big blades you get tired after a dozen or so swings if you are not fit. Less weight = easier to swing for longer periods of time. More length = more damage at smaller weight. So in the end this will be more efficient chopper IMO.

The BB13 CG has a relatively shallow saber grind. That means that the geometry behind the edge is likely to be at least as thick, if not thicker than the full flat ground MOAB. It should be similar to a TTKZ or HUCK.

I was hoping for a light, nimble B13 that would slash as well as chop. This isn't it, but I'll buy one anyway.

I'm guessing the edge may require some thinning out to be an effective chopper, but you never really know what you're going to get with Busse.
