I posted in the trading section. He mentioned he had one. Wasn't interested in my trades so I bought it.
 
From my understanding your not even supposed to trade with people that don't have a basic or higher membership either. Could be wrong as seen it done plenty. But I wouldn't trade with anyone who wasn't a GM or unless they sent me their item first. Registered members have nothing to lose if they rip you off. Not supposed to buy from people without them having a GM here. Messy situation. Good luck to you Lockpick.
 
Thanks. I escalated the claim. Lesson learned. At least I didn't have to lose any money with this lesson.

to my understanding all usps shipments atleast include tracking within the US. Sounds like he was trying to take you for a ride...... seems that he hasn't come here to defend himself either so that says a lot as well!

The OP has said several times that this was an INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT. Tracking on International First Class Packages is extra and optional unless the Postage is printed online. Then Tracking is included free. The same for Domestic Mail. Tracking is only included free of charge if the Shipping Label is printed online. As per USPS.com.

Basic Members and up can start a trade thread, anyone can send offers.

Ask for references--Ask them too ship first
IF they wont..
MOVE ALONG..

Just wanted to update. The gentleman did refund my money this morning. I never received the solo. But thankfully was able to purchase another. Hopefully this one arrives safely.

I am happy that he chose to refund me. Instead of waiting until the 21 for PayPal to make a decision. He never responded to PayPal. I even told him if I ever receive it I would be happy to pay him for it. Just not sure it ever shipped in the first place.

All is well that ends well.
 
In the future wouldn't buy from people that arent Gold or higher members. I still would like to know if he was trying to rip you off or not so keep us updated cause if he did, something needs to happen. Can't just have these scammers hanging around here.
