Men and Knives on Bladeforums

I am with you regarding this. There is very fine line and difference between this act,i never understand anyone killing animal for fun,or for proof of being "man"-thats utterly dishonour to those who does it...Reasonable situation, during attack, etc.that is whole different level however...

I agree completely.

The difference here is that we don't kill coyotes for "fun", we do it to keep a major part of our livelihood going.

Manly men like me enjoy a giant meatloaf dinner using a BK-2 as a table utensil, like so...

..and for dessert, some banana bread beer with a banana blade Emerson!

Grilling a New York strip with melted blue cheese, then using a GEC #99 Farm and Field as a steak knife. The manly part? Letting the knife form a patina from the event :).

That is understandable (speaking for myself),if there is no other option left in your disposal,(not sure, what can be done, fencing options,or any other options to prevent or discourage these animals to enter the area, than unfortunately this is the way to prevent livestock being killed by coyotes...

Only option is to kill. This is what a coyote does to a fence.

This trio of blades are pretty manly IMHO; the top is 1/2" thick A8 modified tool steel, middle 5/16" 5160 and the axe is has a 1/2" A2 steel bit with aluminum handle.

I kill them for fun. They're predators & so am I. I am also a human harbinger of flying lead plague as far as prairie dogs are concerned. Both are inedible, and dangerous to humans and livestock for different reasons.
I do the ranchers a service, and I enjoy it. Any male that hasn't been socialized into the Disney view also enjoys hunting for the pure sport of it. It's built right into us, and we're the best predators in the world.

Not ashamed of it one single bit.

I have a coyote that makes an appearance in my back yard from time to time, and I have a scoped Marlin .22 WMR that I'm itchin' to try out. Just gotta catch him at the right time.

Thank you.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it, but it's not the sole purpose of killing them for me.

Always enjoy your vids, I have seen a few on You tube and I gotta say you are the reason I started using a lanyard after seeing one of your vids ::tu::

That and they seem to fail to realize that the steak they bought at Wally world actually used to be a cow.
Lies! That meat comes from boxes that a big truck delivers. It doesn't even *remotely* resemble a cow - or any animal for that matter. I think you're trying to fill us with conspiracy sir. These boxes obviously come from god to feed us. Animals are our friends! Mad cow is just a cow that wasn't hugged today.
