Okay folks, if you don't know by now I start a new job Monday the 8th  and wanted to share the joy of my new job & coincidentally Christmas, so I am giving away another knife.(yeah I know, not another knife, but I'm sorry, it's all I have left worthy of a gaw.):p

I received this little guy in last years gift exchange from wolf-man-12 (thanks again Jack :)) and I had it and another knife listed for sale recently to make "getting by money",(with wolf's permission first) but the other knife sold first, so once I found out I am finally going to be employed again I pulled it so I could celebrate my upcoming employment with my friends here on John's forum by having a gaw.
I etched the leaf pattern in it just to make it a little more unique for the GAW.
The etching and the sheath ain't perfect,(this is the first time I've etched a pattern in a blade :o) but it'll cut stuff just fine, so if you would like a chance at 'em you'll need to tell me something about your pets.
I love all critters so it does't matter what you have for a pet, just that you love 'em.:thumbup:And pics would be nice, but not necessary.
So tell us of your pet's quarks, shenanigans and or the endearing qualities that makes 'em special to you.

Open to anyone on BF with pets, but I retain the right to disallow anyone for any reason, i.e. greediness.
And by entering this give a way you acknowledge you are legally allowed to own the knife.
I'll pick the winner next Sunday the 14th sometime before or after the Hawks game.

OK that's it..Merry Christmas and get to work dang it!:D

Hi Mykel,

This is not an entry as I have WAY too many knives as it is, but I just wanted to again congratulate you on your new position. What a great way to start the new year!

This is Masha.

Me and Lanni are in -

Here she is settled into one of her favorite toys - a paper bag. Later this one, an appropriately themed bag for the season - like all the others but more prosaic plain paper bags - after pouncing on, and scratching through and transporting all around the room, was utterly destroyed. Always on the lookout for a rugged cat sized paper bag. Lanni's next favorite toys - a champagne cork - also gets battered all around the house, and often is carried and carefully placed into the paper bag of the week. The cork play is worthy of a video but there are more than enough cute cat videos in the world and so we keep it as our little family entertainment.:)

Hi Mykel.
Very generous of you. Nice looking knife. good job on the etching.

This is not an entry. I just wanted to send you a big ol' congrats on the new job! Congrats!

Not an entry as I am already blessed with an abundance of knives, but congratulations on your new job Mykel. :)

Have a a yorkie, medium-size, named Jasqúe, we call him our morale director because he makes everyone happy. He also likes to play our version of football with his rubber bone. He carries it in his mouth and he dodged and weaves around as we try to get it from him. If we get it, we throw it down the hall and jumps after it, and the game continues. He has gotten quite good at it. Congrats on the new job.

Congrats on the new job. I'll play! Here is my best buddy Hank.

This is by far the best dog I have ever owned. I swear he understands English. Such a handsome boy.

Bo and I are in!

Here is Bo right after we got him. My wife saw his little face peeking out from under the neighbor's little storage building and we eventually caught him so nothing bad would happen to him.

And here he is now:

Dog lover here. This is Dottie. She is a 9 year old Dachshund mix.

Thanks for the chance, have my first JK on the way sometime in January(unless I luck into this one). Very generous of you.

Edit: Almost forgot, congrats on the new job!

Stopping to smell the flowers.

My wife had given her a magazine to look at, must have been a particularly aggravating article in that one?!

Did I mention I sit up for treats?

Great pics of your kids guys!Makes me wish I had a better camera.
I also wish I could have a big 'ol pooch, but being in an apartment I can only have the 2 cats, my kids.

First up is Little Chloe.
She sits and meows at me for attention when I'm on the computer so of course I have to go sit in my recliner so she can "make bread".
Spoiled little brat.

And Bennie Boy.
Bennie likes to lay across my chest with his front paws over my right shoulder and put me to sleep.
His Thyroid started to act up awhile back and he went from 11.5 lbs. to 6 lbs. and was pretty damn sick, but we have him on a regular med regimen and he's up to 8.3 lbs.
His thyroid, liver & kidneys are stable as of two months ago and I'm hoping to hear he has gained more weight with his next check up Saturday, but being 19 or so years old I don't expect him to gain much more of the lost weight back.(fingers are crossed though)

Great looking knife - count me IN.

I have a pitbull that I rescued as a 10 week old puppy from a guy in Dallas that was going to turn him into a "fightin' dawg" as he put it and did not want me to touch him. Keep in mind that I am visiting an old girlfriend that just moved back to Texas and was not looking for a dog - being single it was the last thing I needed. He put the puppy down and the little guy ran over to me and started licking me in the face - my heart was taken. I offered $100 for the puppy and he said "Hell no, I am going to make more off fighting him." So I said $200 and still got a "no" from him, but his wife heard the offer and came outside. She asked if I had it cash - I showed her that I did. She picked up the puppy, took the $200 and handed me the puppy. As I was walking off I could hear the argument ensue - luckily it was near the 1st and they need to pay rent. He stilled tried to get the dog back, but the look on my face was reason enough for him to back down and he realized the dog was mine.

Enough of a back story - the dog has offered me 13 years of true companionship. Enough love that I am still single and enough laughter and joy to last a lifetime. He stares out the front window until I pull into the garage and then he is waiting in the hallway with a huge smile - happens every time regardless if I just leave for a minute.

He has never showed a single sign of aggression towards a single person - after they walked into the house; knock on the door and he reacts with an angry bark (taught of course - cheaper than ADT). He has the attitude of a good guy - everyone thinks he is trained as a therapy dog because of his demeanor - and manners of a gentleman.

He has gotten to the age that he has eared the right to eat what ever he wants - regardless of the terrible allergies we have battled his entire life back in Austin (wasted a lot of money on all sorts of treatments including acupuncture). Still acts like he is tasting a treat for the first time and gets excited when the pantry door opens.

Heck, as any dog owner knows the stories could go on for pages. He has been the brightest part of my life on a daily basis. I am not looking forward to life without the old fella - I will enjoy every moment until then..... Merry Christmas and Congratulations on the new job.

Here is a couple from a this summer - he has lost about 10lbs. since his prime and the still get a red belly from grass.

This is Dunham. She is very good with the baby, though I admit that despite the photo she's really not much of a Seahawks fan. She's more of a walks and bones fan. But she also gets along well with the cat.

And this is Mr. Onion, AKA Jabba the Catt. I swear that I really don't feed him much, he is just a very effective killing machine. He started getting chunky at 5 months, which happened to be the same time he started catching rabbits. He is more agile than his bulk would suggest, and he remains effective pest control. Plus having lived his whole life with large dogs he is surprisingly tolerant, and actually seems to actively like the baby, even though the baby likes to pull on him.

And lastly this is Chachka, who sadly passed about a year ago, but I just love this photo from our trip to San Fran

Here is one of Rudy our now deceased (at the age of 19.5 years old) best of pets. Lanni is a good little cat but Rudy will never be surpassed for a long list of reasons. He too, as some of you describe with your dogs, would come running every time he heard one of us driving into the yard. One of his seemingly favorite past times was walking with us in the woods around our house (some 140 acres, most of it a nature preserve). We would head out for a walk and after a bit would hear him calling to us and so we would slow down and let him join us. At that point he would be the pace setter. We saw lots of things walking with Rudy that we would never see on our own. We learned that we should always check with him to see if he was free to join us when we went out. :)

This photo has become a family classic.

My blue Tegu passed out on the floor so I goofed around with a photo of him drunk texting.
